quality of g35driver.com

I've been viewing this board for quite some time now. These days, the topics seem a bit childish. It seems more like a chat room than a forum of informative info. I could point out certain examples, but I'm sure you guys/gals know what I mean. This board has gone to the level of some civic forums; meaningless topics..

I'm feeling that the quality of this board has gone down. Anyone else feel this way?

I agree with you to some degree.. maybe I'm just too old for this board (28).. but look at the current topics on this board...

1) If you can get any gun what would you get
2) Who is Mike Jones? <-- what does this have to do with our cars
3) 05 Coupe TOPPED OUT``` <-- the dumb *** kid going 160 mph
4) 2006 G35 Coupe..Can u believe that!! I hate my G now <-- this guy hates his car now because some new features are out.. sounds to me low self esteem..

Don't blame the car, blame the driver ...

I do not think that people that post often in this forum are on average more mature/educated/intelligent than those from any other, say civic, forum.

I think your expectations about G35 forum are too high. There are morons who drive civics, golfs, G35s, BMWs, Lexus ... and they are among us

Besides, your observation about this forum going south is in accordance with the second law of thermodynamics: for example, in Boltzman's formulation, the entropy increases ... C'est la vie! No surprize for me here.

I agree. I should explained myself better. Cars don't make the person or reflect their maturity, etc. My point was that this forum has turned into another civic type forum.. with stupid topics.. I'm just venting off before I sign off for good.

Look at the age group that frequent this board. Does that answer your question?

I think the posts on this forum are representative of the average age group of its posters which is probably early 20s. My real love is Porsches, and my favorite site is Rennlist.com. If you visit that site the tenor is far different and again that's because of the age group of the posters which is probably early 40s.

I'm not saying that one is good and the other is bad, it's just that they are different and it's to be expected.

These random posts are ok...just not in the G35 Coupe forum. They need to be in the OT forums. That way people who choose to visit that forum will be able to respond and view those threads.

that's a good point. In visiting other forums, I noticed the difference. I decided to post this topic in hopes that this forum would revert back to the way it was intended.
