sure its nice to have brembo as stock brakes, but there are some negatives that comes with it... some peeps just really gotta get over those stock brembos!
It's the guys that don't that seem to need to get over it.
I'm glad I have them but don't gloat over them or comment negatively over the newer models that don't. Clearly for most people it's an attraction whether it be for performance or for cache reasons.

Guess I got lucky too. No squeaking at all and they certainly do attract quite a bit of attention. They are the best brakes I have ever owned.
Why do some people keep taking shots at them??

I'm going to be purchasing a new G35 probably around December or January. Where can I get detailed information about the 2006 model? I'm interested to see what changes have been made. I love the body just the way it is in the 2005 model and hope the 2006 is still as nice.

Its like are you serious? Wont buy a whole car cause it doesn't come with brembos....BIG F'in Deal!
I would agree the brakes aren't the only make or break point for any one model of car. However when we're comparing different years of the same model with subtle differences for some people the brakes might be that difference they are looking for. Others may care more about interior changes and so on.
I'm not sure why you're so hostile over the Brembo brake issue though.

That is correct. The 05 brakes are basically just as big, with dual pistons. Put some better fluid, pads, and put some better lines and man you got yourself a braking system that will surely perform better than the Brembos did in stock form.

Your missing the point...we aren't taking shots at the brakes, we are taking shots at the mentality of some people in relation to the brembos...

Just like those who say I wont buy the car because it doesnt come with brembos, or those who make the brembos seem like its a bucket of diamonds when in reality the stopping power of stock is just the same, if not better...don't get me wrong, who wouldn't mine having them right? But its the same thing as name brand vs. generic, both do the same thing the same way, except one is cheaper than the other....(In this case, it would be maintenance.) Not hostile at all man....just prooving the ignorance of some.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

this is EXACTLY the guy that gee im fast is talkinga bout.....

why do they need to come with brembos when the 05 stockers have shorter stopping distance than the brembos from previous years?

That's good and i'm glad to hear there are people who have had no problems with their brembos. But please understand that there is a reason why the warranty for the brembos, and the brembos only was extended. Do you think they would do this just out of good will? They did it because there was a problem significant enough to warrant that every single brembo'd G would be covered.

I'm not taking any shots at the brembos, they definately have a bling factor to them but when the numbers don't lie that the 05's have shorter stopping distance than the brembo's why is there an argument still being made for the brembos? Just because they are brembos? Of course unless you track your car often, the brembos will be a favorite as they won't exhibit as much fade and may be easier to modulate -- but both of those thigns can be easily corrected with better braking fluid, some SS braided lines, and better pads as mentioned earlier.

I don't think 90% of us on this board track our cars.

i have an 04 mt cuz thats what i wanted to buy.... yah it came with brembos and sure they dust a grip(see sig) but i dont think infiniti is going backwards. they are trying to meet the demands of people and fix complaints received and cant possibly make everyone happy. its true that car enthusiasts like us will notice even the slightest changes but infiniti also knows the a regular joe blow wont notice too much of a damn thing. im surprised to meet a lot of g owners who dont know they have rwd or a V6!!!

anyways, i like the changes to the 05's and some of the 06's but i'm happy with what i have and proud cuz i used i bought it on my own with every single penny i saved up.

^ I agree, its not taking a step back, its more like listening to the customer, and the brembos didnt sit all to well with some customers as well as Infiniti since they had to deal with it. They tried it and it didn't work out, so they fixed the problem...thats a STEP FORWARD if you ask me.
