To me it's nice to see the light start flashing out of the corner of my eye as I'm getting close to fuel cut-off.

I must have had an early run. Those pages in mine deal with the cruse control (5-16) and "Increasing fuel economy" (5-17). The cover does say 2005, however.

Thanks for the info!

So I guess people in cars like these:

Should drive autos too?

On a track, you need to focus on more than just straight ahead and that is where a REV light will come in handy.

On another note, I changed the light to be displayed at 7000 RPM and it starts flashing JUST before it gets there. I like it better that way though. By the time I shift gear after that thing starts flashing, I'll probably be in the 7000rpm range. If not, I can just set it tto 7100.

I'll try to record it and post a video of the light with the Rev Setting set to 7000.

Can't compare a full fledge race car to a daily driver g........If you do.....u shouldn't be driving like dat on da street.....First of all ....no helmet, no rollcage, closed off track , loud 1000 + hp motors... and 200+ speeds......shaking and rattling your head u probably don't know what f-ing gear ur in.....then....MAYBE.....Shift light.....I don't even think most race cars have mph gauges....they have shifter........."shiftlight" and driver........And in a lotta cases nowadays....no shifter....paddleshifting...on da steering wheel....In other words....REV light...Lame.......
