MAF Sensor CLEANING

anyone ever clean their Mass Air Flow sensor. i wanna clean mine cuz i can clearly see oil and dirt on it? what should i use to clean it?

Rubbing alcohol and Q-tip or Electronics parts cleaner.

Electronics parts cleaner works well, I have used CRC QD Electronics Cleaner.
It is a quick drying formula that works very well. I would touch
the wires. The sensor is very expensive and spraying with an areosol cleaner
allows the MAF to be cleaned without touching the wires.

i just use rubbing alcohol.. just make sure you wipe it realy clean..

i just had mine messed up by the pop charger filter oil so im just ganna clean the MAF sensor before it gets any worse. its not like a oil change ware you have to do it.

Can you elaborate on the problems you had? I just cleaned and reoiled my Injen filter. I don't want to run into problems.

i would get low idel and my car would staul at low RPM turns and its a AT. i put back the air box and just kept the z tube and im fine now but i dont want the oil on the sensor to pick up anymore dirt so thats why im cleanign it.

Thanks a lot! That's something I'll keep a close eye on because, like I mentioned earlier, I just re-oiled my filter. At least if my car starts acting up, I'll know what to look for.

man that CRC QD Electronics Cleaner works good i just sprayed my sensor wow i can see the sensor shineing. thanx alot its just like new. knock on wood.
