hey anyone have this problem of the radio getting louder if you accelerate fast? how do i disable this? thanks

 

imracerx, It's not a problem, but designed that way. It's called SCV-- speed sensitive control volume for your audio.
Have a look at pages 10 & 11 in section 4 of your owners manual for details. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

This is the speed sensitive volume control. Click the audo (i think) button (on the right side). It will go through bass, trebble, fade, ballance. Then it will say like SCV or SSV or something like that. Set that to either low or off.

Sorry for not being very specific. I have mine on high and I don't even think it goes changes enough. But that may be because I like to drive a lot with the windows down.

Keeping the SCV on high will give the Bose the best sound quality.

 

I wish the systems automatically disabled when the windows are up.

 

I've been trying various settings for SCV - I find "high" annoying because the step-ups are pretty dramatic. I cut it back to Med and am testing that now. I like it alot better, so far.

As a previous poster mentioned, use the "Audio" button to step thru the controls. The one you want is "SCV".

Last I heard, aren't all the decks in the G Bose? Do you mean is this a premium option? To that I have no idea...I have never seen a coupe without premium. Wish I could be more help...

i cant tell that the radio gets louder and i have it set on high.
i wish i could cause i think its pretty cool.
is it that noticable? does it depend on the original volume level? i drove a vette that had this and it was way more noticable than my car.
