Wish me luck! I leave tomorrow for my drive from Jacksonville to Los Angeles. For bonus points I'm taking my wife and 2 kids with me.
We won't be setting any records. We're taking our time to see the sights. If anybody else has done this and has any tips/tricks please post them!
Here's an idea of how much you can fit in a coupe (with all seats available for passengers).

i think our trunks are smaller than average, and some of the luggage might cut foot space in the cabin, which will make the trip uncomfortable, but it sounds fun
Did it in 2003 w/my brother. Round trip frpmk DC in 2 weeks. Went Salt lake, San Fran, made right, went to Wash Oregon border, made a right dropped him in in NC. Lot of driving, most of it fun
.
Dont envy the family part , too tight, best of luck, it will be fun, you will remember it forever!!!

i've driven from coast to coast. anywhere from south beach to sacramento and literally anywhere in between...personal experience...coupes are really uncomfortable if u have more than 2 ppl...and put yur stock wheels back on! good luck to u and be safe out there!

if u've never seen the sunrise in the desert then thats somethin i HIGHLY suggest u should see. VERY pretty skies. when i do drive thru arizona i try to catch the sunrise. i can't really remember which specific area it was but i'd say about half way thru arizona where it's just straight open road and starts to get mountainous (if thats a word)
