i've been wondering about this too. from the reading i've done, it suggests the gains are almost non-existant for '05 ATs? i'm curious because i have an '06 AT, first wondering if it's like the '05, then wondering if there's anything worthwhile for it.

I would go with a new plenum personally-- If you think about it-- it would seem like more preformence could come out of a new plenum, then just a spacer

Why wouldnt it work on 05 autos??? The engine is the same as the rest of the 03-04 bc the hp is still 280hp. Only the stick is different, hence the 298hp.

yeah the 05+ MT have the MREV to go for. im sure the spacers or plenums that people have used for the previous years will show same results as the 05 AT. since we do have the 280 HP engine.

Hi guys,

The spacers actually work very well on the AT's. About 11-14 HP depending on which one you get. But spacers only work on the AT's.

OTOH

Its the 05 and 06 MT's that require the MREV. Many people are reporting gains of about 20 HP and 30TQ.

are these gain you speak of at the crank or the wheels?

SO which one works best for 05 AT?

These are at the wheels.

Get the 1/2" for the highest peak numbers or get the 5/16" for maximum stealth.

to show the peak numbers on the 5AT did you have to do any ECU reflash or this is with a stock ecu?

also how does the plenum work with test pipes and exhaust? Or are these numbers are from just the spacer alone?

I have an '04 AT which is unchanged through to '06. (only MT cars changed)

I have the Motordyne spacer with thermal isolator.
Seat of the pants gains are definitely there.
Highly recommended.

The Motordyne is the only one that offers a thermal break at the intake manifold.
Not just the upper half like other products.

what's thermal isolater. Is that like the plastic gasket that does not allow heat transfer?

how hard was the install and how much (if you dont mind me asking)?
