windows fogging up???

Everytime it rains or if it's humid at night, my windows fog up like crazy. When I throw on the defroster it helps at first but then they just keep fogging up on the outside and I have to use the wipers to keep clearing the windshield. I tried changing the temperature and still no luck. Is this a problem with our coupes? Has anybody else experienced this and has a solution for me? Thanks in advance.

Re: windows fogging up???

My windows did the exact same thing when I drove along the coast in Florida... really irked me. The fact that the windshield was colder than the surrounding air pretty much sucked the ocean onto my windshield, and the only solution I found, other than turning off my beloved AC, was to use wipers. If you've got RainX on there and are on a highway, you'll be fine, though...

We have no such problem in Northern California, LOL, (could not resist)
Seriously, It sound more like a high humidity factor that can be minimized by using a protecting agent on your windows, maybe the detail section has more on what type of product works best.

I'm on the Island too. When the wondiws do that I usually hit them with no AC and 90 degree heat for a few to heat up the outside. Best to do this when it's parked. Then blast a little AC on the inside and switch the defrost vents off. Usually keeps both sides pretty clear. If the inside gets frosty again just a little AC maybe with the temp turned up clears it then off go the vents again. Usually works pretty good once you get the hang of it.

Yeah AC always clears up the fog for me in the hot/humid days here in Austin.

I have the same problem w/ my car as well. It is driving me crazy. I have owned 3 Nissan products in the past and for some reason they all do this.

Every car does this, You just have to know how to work it right.

Re: windows fogging up???

It's the humidity. Used to happen to me all the time in South Texas. Rarely happens in Southern California.

Defroster on high heat with the A/C turned on works best at clearing it up. (The A/C dehumidifies the air.)

Re: windows fogging up???

I have the same problem every time it rains. When i blast the heat it goes away for a few minutes, but then it comes right back when I turn it off. Its a real pain, nothing seems to clear it up.
