REV light?
That might mean that the REV light is set to low rpm's. If the '06 is the same as the others . . . Simply press the trip meter stem a few times till you see the rpm setting. At that point you can easily reset REV light to come on at your desired rpm setting. Good luck and have fun in your G . . . Congrats!
the letters REV are always on, theres a red blinking light above it that blinks 5k rpm before the limit you set it at, and solid at the rpm that is set. basically it's just where the shift light is.

Okay so it's "Always" on?.... trippy... So what's the best setting for racing? So when it starts blinking is that a sign that I should get ready to shift and shift just as it stays still? I'd find out myself by doing it but I just got it yesterday and I'm still breaking it in. I'm new so I ask a lot of questions sorry.
Thanks very much to the ones that are patient

No offense to the OP, but this is getting kinda old. This has got to be the 5th thread I've read about the REV light. So do the salespeople not go over this kind of stuff? And if they don't, why is it someone's first reaction to ask a forum, rather than find out on his own( as in checking the manual )? Next, why not try to SEARCH before posting?
Sorry, had to rant.

I couldn't find it in the index when i was looking through the manual and i was on this forum while i was searching... i tried the search and typed in Rev light and nothing came up so i said **** it and took 20 seconds outta my life to post it. The real question.. is why do people waste their time making those comments? First of all... if you don't like that you see the same post on this forum, just skip passed it without looking at it... second... it's a waste of your time typing and other people times are wasted reading... third... that comment has nothing to do with my question so peace out have a nice day.
Trey has a valid point. People spend alot of money on their cars and don't bother reading the Owner's Manual from cover to cover. I enjoy answering questions, if I can provide the answers
. . . But for everyones' own piece of mind, I would highly recommend reading all of the documentation, which comes with your car.
With regard to this particular question . . . For the '05 models, the answer can be found in section 5 "Starting and Driving" of the Owner's Manual. The '06 manual should be very similar.
Asianfury, I trust that you are enjoying your new G.
Now, go and read your Owner's Manual.
Enjoy!
