Test drove a tsx 6-speed

I'm waiting for my '04 g35c to come in and was facinated by the features the tsx gives you for the price so I stopped by an acura dealer. Here were my thoughts:
The car was a loaded charcoal grey tsx with nav with a 200 hp 4 cylendar. The car looks nice in that color but the engine is too weak even with the 6-speed...although I suck at driving stick still as evidenced by the salesman's sweating But a car like that seems like it should have more torque.
The voice recognition is very cool. It's like having 130 buttons at your disposal (once you learn the words) without having to take your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road. But when it understands you wrong it temps you to berate it and laugh as it carries out some random command! It's not perfect but nice.
Materials are nice but the leather isn't soft like the g35's. Nice padded armrests for both elbows. The sound system is awsome sounding for a factory system (the low is amazing for bose) but lacks satellite radio upgradability. The nav screen shows advanced touch or voice screen menus for all sorts of audio and climate control settings.
Overall the car was pleasant but not VERY pleasant like a4 or exciting and sporty like a g. WIth the exception of the very cool nav/voice system the car feels like a poor man's audi. Nice for the price though.
I'm sticking with the g's...the extra ~9k you pay for a similarly equiped g is defenately worth it!

I also like the gauges and the navi (huge navi screen) alot better than the G, but no power though. They should've used the 240HP V6 engine from the Accord.

"Also needs to be a RWD"

Is there any Acura's or Honda's that are RWD?

Yeah, I forgot to mention the guages. So cool...you sorta have to see them to understand...
I think the g is a much better car where it counts but acura seems to pay more attention to details. I think when the new tl comes out (see: http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=120262 ) it could give the g a run for it's money...espeically if they release a powerfull coupe vertion..

Re: Test drove a tsx 6-speed

That was the exact car I was deciding on vs. the G. The interior of the TSX and NAV was phenomenal. I always liked the blue gauges of Honda\Acura vs Amber. It also gave the TSX a more futuristic feel. The NAVI was one of the best I have seen for a stock component. The radio also is very good. My biggest headache was the lack of power. Go figure...

Despite the lack of power, the TSX is a very nice vehicle and definately provides a nice bang for the buck.
