Towel

I went to Bed Bath Beyond today looking for towels for the weekend. Worrie d about getting swirl marks. Going to apply my first coat of Zaino Z2/Z6. Checked out Zaino website for recommendations...

I couldn't find the Fieldcrest towels..But they do have some 100% Egyptian Cotton loop towels. I could not tell which brand to get...They had Wamsutta and Grand Patrician towels. That one seemed soft, but I didn't know if Egyptian cotton was good since everyone saying to get 100% cotton. Is it the same thing? But from their sayings, it says that is the softest so I won't get any swirls... There was also some other towel made of MicroCotton. It seemed very soft and has anyone used this? It was called Suite Collection.

Can anyone recommend any towels they have bought and used from Bed Bath and Beyond?? Thanks!

Take a blank CD to the store... rub the towel against the CD back & forth several times... if it scratches the CD... it will scratch your car. I would use these http://autopia-carcare.com/son-dwdt-2.html I use them... They are perfect!

pschhh amatuers... cotton towels ha!.... a leather chamois works about a million times better... and guess what you only need one... one will dry your entire car... and best part... no scratch marks... a leather chamois costs what... 15 bucks... good towels that dont scratch cost 10 bucks per and are more inferior to chamois'... no brainer here man

goto autozone and buy a large leather chamois(or call it a shammy)... you wont regret it

I bought towels named Sensation Grand Patrician at Bed Bath Beyond. They are 100% cotton and made in the USA. I got home and found out that they had "100% Egyptian Cotton Loops."

I used the towels to buff my LR G35 several times after applying coats of Zaino Z2 and also with Z6 and Z8 once. They have worked fine for me. No swirls...

ps: Just tried the CD test and they passed...

"Amateurs" Pretty funny... I guess I'll close my detailing shop down now because you know best. Tell me boy wonder, you still play 8 tracks in the house ... Shammys are no match for a real good micro drying towel. They drag along the surface and will keep anything on the surface should something land on the car unknowingly (and it happens all the time if you're in the street cleaning your car)... They will scratch the paint. Not saying a towel will protect 100%... but you have a better chance the particle will pull up into the loops and not touch the surface. Wanna fill out an application? I'm looking for a good vacuum guy

I always use microfiber cloth when buffing out the wax by hand.

I usually use them once, wash them once without soap.. then throw them away and buy new ones after the second use.

Get the hell out of there............

For the same price you'll pay for a cotton towel you
could get microfiber towels that won't f..k up your
paint. If you will use the search feature on this sight
you can find all the answers you'll ever need. Cotton
towels are for "in house" use only!
Oh yea, microfiber towels can be washed over and
over again if you buy good ones. (like Zymol)

do these work well? the one part i hate most about the washing/waxing process is drying the car. i don't like to use those waterblades and using microfibers are just a hassle. i might check these out. i need an easier way to dry the G
