MOVING TO HOLLYWOOD WITH G
Re: MOVING TO HOLLYWOOD WITH G
I was just in Hollywood\LA visiting some friends. From when I got there Saturday to when I left on Sunday, I counted 8 G35 Coupes, and a nice big coupe on a billboard off Highland (I think). Unfortunately, the G35's were overshadowed by the Porsche's, Ferrari's, and the Suburbans with the Davin rims...haha.

Life is always about plus's and minus's.... NY is an awesome place to visit if you have never been there. My 2 cents...

I agree. I moved from NY to SoCal in April this year, and came to the conclusion that both are great places to live, but also have big drawbacks too. You have to weigh the plus's and minus's and what is more important to you. I'm always looking for the perfect place to live, and have come to the conclusion that the perfect places have no job!
So everywhere else where there is work, is a compromise. Like life in general: full of compromises.
As for traffic, both NY and LA are very bad. Probably about equally bad, but for different reasons. And CERTAIN freeways in LA are much worse than ANY road in NY. With NY, traffic is almost always caused by construction or an accident, and of course rush hour in certain spots. With some freeways in LA the traffic is usually caused by way too many cars on the road at the same time: you can have no accidents, no construction, and a 6 lane freeway is entirely stopped for dozens of miles for no reason other than too many cars. THAT is bad traffic. For example, try the 91 Freeway heading toward Riverside at about 4-5PM. You'll wish you were back in NY on the L.I.E. when you get stuck on that one! L.A. Sucks big booty. The people are a JOKE. The cost of living is outrageous, and the women are man hating lesbos from hell. Sorry to hear that your are moving there. You will grow to hate it. I loathe California Talkers.
The weather is good on a lighter side. Good luck in Shizzlerville.

Discreet - I am in Arleta. Black Coupe.
As for Hollywood, under no circumstances should you roll out on Sunset Bl. on Friday or Saturday night after 11pm unless you want to sit in traffic for an hour or two to go 3 miles.
Also, avoid the 405 between the 101 and the 105 at all costs....seriously there is horrible traffic
at all hours, even as late as 11pm. On Saturdays and Sundays it takes me 1.5 hours to drive the 18 miles to my brothers house in Playa Del Rey. In fact, I have started taking the 5 to the 110 to the 105....
about 12 more miles, but saves me 45 minutes.

Re: MOVING TO HOLLYWOOD WITH G
One problem with SoCal is that everyone goes to bed so early. 1:30AM is the last call at the bars. After that, everyone goes to bed. Here in NYC we don't start going out until 1:30. I recall a night where we went out in the city at 3am and didn't get home until 10am.. hehe. As far as the food goes, there is good food all around SoCal... Ago, Chaya, Katana, Towne, etc.. You just need to know what resutrants to go to. In NYC the popular good resturants are The Atlantic, Nobu, The Park Avalon, Tao, Ruby Foos, Baldoria, etc. It's also fun to check out a place called Fourty Four. It's like a lobby bar in the Royalton hotel on 44th street. The Ritz Carlton also has a nice bar in Battery Park on the 14th floor that overlooks the manhattan harbor.

Re: MOVING TO HOLLYWOOD WITH G
Hmmm...You guys compare NY and Cali and all I see is LA vs NYC. What about Santa Barbara, San Diego etc...and other ares in NY. There are a lot more nice places in these 2 states than just LA and NYC. Not a whole lot traffic in San Diego...and many nice places to hang out.
