Where to fix Volks?

Hey folks, i'm officially bummed out. i had a detail guy come to my work and wash our cars and our clients cars today. i have a set of 19" volk gt7 w/ gunmetal finish. they're still brand new, but after they washed my car my wheels look pretty screwed up. it looks as if you sprayed armor all on the wheels, but can't wipe it off. i'm in san diego and i was wondering if there was a place to fix that kind of mistake. repolish? any help would be great, thanks.
ps. love my g, i just got the power enterprise tt kit installed and even at 5 lbs...it's a fun car.

Were they hot when this wash dude sprayed some-
thing on them? If he sprayed something like window
cleaner on hot wheels that contains ammonia you have a mess on your hands. Look for someone in your area that does wheel polishing. Cost in my area
to do this is $100 ea wheel......ouch!!! (yellowpages)
Good Luck!!!!

Won't polish out. I had a similar thing happen to my Volk SF-Challenges. They have a clear coat on them so you can't polish the lips back out. Basically as I understand it you would have to have them stripped and recleared. I haven't had a chance to look into the cost or feasibility of this yet, but I imagine it wouldn't be super cheap to do.

It's almost impossible to get out. Volks do not have polished lip. They have an anodized metal.. This anodized metal is alot better than your average polished lip because it doesn't oxidize. But it's very sensitive...

ONLY USE CAR WASH SOAPY WATER to wash these wheels!! ONLY when it's cold.

The only way to fix the wheels are to take them apart.. and have the lips sandblasted and refinished in Stainless steel.... doh.

Maybe try a claybar.. might help a little bit.

Try some zymol... or some other semi-abrasive car polish that you would normally use on the paint. Some GS27 Scratch Remover?
