Why did you remove all those bolts? I just removed one and changed my oil just fine. Took about 30 minutes.

It will take me approximately two hours to do all of those activities or I can drive to my Infiniti Dealer who is about five minutes away from where I work and have them do all the work in 15 minutes for about $40.

Hey man the decision is not that tough in my case, and if that means I'm not an enthusiast, TS.
I don't know why you think it takes 2 hours to do all that. I stock up on everything. I have a shelf of like 10 Mobile-1 filters, and about 10 gallons of Mobile-1 Synthetic. And the local recycler picks up the oil at the curb. Oh yeah, and the last time I went to the Infiniti dealer for service, they backed my car into a curb.

Personally, I think the longest part of doing the oil change is jacking up the car. (maybe it's just me), because my regular jack could barely clear the car, so that I had to use a screwdriver to pump the jack. And the ramps kept hitting my front lip.

But I found the trick to get my oil change time down to about 10 minutes. It's called air-tools. Back my car up onto a scrap piece of 2x6. Slide my air-assisted floor jack under the car. Raise the car 20" in about 10 seconds. Push the jack-stands under the car, and lower the car. Then use either an air-ratchet or a cordless drill, and unbolt all the bolts for the under-cover. I think just using the cordless drill, I can remove the under-cover in < 2 minutes.

Air tools are your friends. I changed a set of brakes on the TL a few weeks ago, and the air-jack, impact wrench, and ratchet, allowed me to do the brakes in about 10 minutes per side, start to finish.

The air-compressor and associated tools were the best $$$ I've ever spent.
