^ what he said.. lol..

but really tho.. thats how you're really suppose to do a burn out.. PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR CLUTCH AT 4,000RPM!!!!

as for why you would do a burn out.. to heat up your drag tires so they'll grip on the floor.. you'll see guys peel out at the track too to prep the track for their launch.. to keep it simple.. they peel out so some of the rubber on their tire will be on the track n provide better grip for the first 60ft of their launch. which is why some drag guys will complain about bad track prep.. street tires and drag tires dont mix...

as for why you'll want to do it on street tires.... to creat smoke.. duh?

enjoy.. tire smell sucks btw lol

IMO its a little safer then just dumping the clutch and those of you thats tried u know our clutch gets stuck down there -_- also keeps u from hearing that big TUMP sound..

just pretend your testing the stall point on an Automatic..

how to do burnouts?
===============

First, lower your I.Q. by 35 points.
Then, buy a Mustang.

LOL, I crack myself up.

standing on the brake to do a burn out will not work on a G35 with the VDC turned off from the switch... VDC will work to stop the rear wheels from spinning, including applying rear brake and cutting power.

VDC off from the switch means it is still on if you are on the brake pedal or the clutch.

So... you have to either get it into fail-safe mode by prolonged burn-out/drifting or pull the fuse.

He's right the moment u step on the brakes the wheels will stop spinning, so u got to pull the fuse (I don't know which fuse, there are so many). But u don't need to do a burn out, u will have more fun doing donuts.

i've tried to do a break stand and it never worked, i guess thats why. I dump the car at 7k ALLLLLLL the time. never have a problem. i did kill aset of brand new rear tires in 1800 miles, but the car was sidewyas 4-8 times a day, dry or wet. i have it on teh hwy kicking the rear out in 3rd gear. I did a burnout when the tires were cold and shifted to 2nd really quick and had it at 7k and did 3 full revolutions, crazy amoutns of smoke and the movie theater security was all over me. Dumping it at 4k will make the car do a P*ssy burnout. 7k and it really gets into it. And to respond to someone, the car wont hit the rev limiter because it doesnt have enought power to just spint eh wheels enough once the clutch is let up

If anyone here has the ***** to try a really nasty burnout, (this can only be done when its wet outside and/or the tires are extremely cold) go reverse to about 10 mph so your just rolling,,, put the car into 2nd gear and dump it at 7k, it will burnout FOREVER. I havent done it yet going backwards, but i have dumped in 2nd gear from a light in the rain and it spins forever before it hooks. Yea i know its hard on the car, but as long as its warmed up, it can take it.

i used the brakes to hold the car down so i can let off the clutch half way and hold the RPMs without moving then just release the brake + drop the rest of the clutch and hit the gas and you've sucessfully created smoke

i never held it long tho or tried to lol tires $$
