Oil Leak on a 06 coupe?

odds are they didnt replace the crush washer. The torque used on the drain plug at the factory is enough to destroy the crush washer for re-use. (not to mention the oil filter). Or they overtighened it themselves and deformed it. Thats not very likely, but maybe the hulk was working that day.
If you use 28-32 ft lbs on it, it will last quite awhile. Tightening as hard as you can a time or two and there will be leaks.
I'd love to watch how they try to put a new washer on without completely draining your oil

They may have forgotten to put on the drain plug washer. It's also a possibility that some dirt or debris is caught between the seal of the oil filter and the mating surface of the engine. You're supposed to make sure that surface is clean and smooth before putting on an oil filter, but I highly doubt that most places actually do that.
You should be able to tell where the oil is coming from by putting a piece of newspaper under your car to catch the dripping oil, and watching for where the oil shows up on the paper, then tracing it back up into the engine above the oil spill location.
Are you sure the oil wasn't from another car that was parked in the spot that you were in prior to your car being there?

If oil is leaking out of your car... I would think it should do it most of the time, unless it's a temperature related leak. If you live in an area where it gets extremely cold or hot, the metal on the oil filter(as well as the seals) will shrink or expand a bit. This could open up the potential for an existing leak to seep more oil, whether it's a hole in the filter, a leaking seal or anything else.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the oil was from another car. Oil is tricky like that, because it might look fresh while it's sitting on the tar for a few days... since oil doesn't evaporate like water would.
It's important to make sure that your crankcase sump oil level isn't dropping though, since that's really what's most important.
