For those of you that are saying boost, have you guys even gone FI on any car? $4k will get you an used kit, but what about installation and tuning? Also, gauges and stuff that come up with during install can cost some money as well. When you go FI, it always ends up costing more than originally planned.

Anyway, for $4k, I'd buy an used set of wheels in great condition(that will run about $2500), KurumaZ front($540+shipping so should be about $650... add $2-300 for install), and get MREV. That will just be perfect. Plus you can maybe sell your OEM 19s and get some more mods after new rims

EDIT: oops, haven't seen the 2nd page before posting... nvmd the selling OEM wheels part.

Since your leasing, I say forget FI. $4K is not enought for FI, install/tuning/gauges/other parts that you may need to keep if running safely, you'll need to have extra emergency $, just incase you have problems down the road, and the downtime for install, repair, etc. I say also no to bodykit and wheels, both needs to be done together IMO. Unless its a subtle add on kit, no bumper replacement kit. Just do moderate performance mods, audio upgrade, and springs. Things that can be easily be restored back to stock when your lease is up.

If the car has stock navi:
2 - 12" IDMAX or IDQ = $300-$350x2
2 - custom fiberglass to fit on the sides of your trunk = $500-$1000
1 - DLS a6 Amplifer = $600
1 - DLS Audio Ultimate Iridium 3-way Components = $600
1 - DLS a4 Amp = $450-500

If no stock Nav:
Double Din Dash kit = $500 ( I think? )
Pioneer AVIC-Z1 = $2200 (MSRP)

BTW: Im thinking about this setup for my gcoupe so if anyone has any good prices Lemme Know please!

I would keep the OEM 19"s, i personally think they look great. For handling I would go stillen sway bars. That is a good improvement in handeling without spending lots of money. Then I would go MREV, headers HF cats, new intake, and possibly exhaust for performance. I might then go for a few minor body, suspension, and sound mods with what money you have left. This should give you a good balance between all categories.

$4k is enough to do a well-rounded set of mods, unless you want to change wheels/tires.

As mentioned, sway bars, MREV, headers, cats (rear-section too, if you want or are able to). Get a new bumper to set it apart and you've got a modified ride.

With the NISMO front with Gialla and the DS rear spoiler, my OEM 19's look fine... ...but are still a little skinny and completely the wrong color. If I didn't need more traction in the rear, and if I wanted a silver finish, I would just stick with the OEMs. It's getting harder to resist spending the $3500 or so for new wheels... ...especially when new tires are going to be a necessity before long.

Yea, I love the OEM 19's...the only killer is they aren't wide enough.

But part of me kinda feels guilty spending money on NEW rims when the stockers are so beautiful.

I'm so with you on that... ...except that I want a different color. If I could be assured of a great result, I'd consider painting these and then just dealing with the lack of width.

Mine is IP, so I feel like the silver OEM 19's are a little washed-out with that white backdrop.

I've seen a few members powder coat the OEM 19's black, and put a high polish on the lip.

I was considering doing that to mine, and then when my lease is up just trade OEM 19's with some one's stockers.

exactly my thoughts. It was never a problem to upgrade the rims from 17 or 18 to 19's. But these OEM's are so light, strong, and look good. I always look at the hub of the wheels and think why didn't they make it with a better offset. Those hubs are like 4 inches deep. It would have been sweet if Nissan gave the G some aggressive offset and lip from the factory.

In any case, as far as your question... i prefer looks and performance over a sound system. Considering it is a lease, you might want to go with parts or mods (bolt on replacements) that can be easily sold when your lease is up.
