Yea, I'm really psyched about getting an exhaust on that car....

It's going to be 2 door, Manual Transmission....Exhaust seems like a must.

The OEM is really nice, but it's kind of generic where I live (lot of coupe's) and it's a little bit on the "whiny side". A nice beefy and deep sounding exhaust would be amazing.

Ok here we go...what do you guys think;

$1500 Exhaust
$500 Springs & Sways
$500 Valentine V1
$500 Mrev+ (Used)
$1000 Spend the rest on the sound system?

since this is a lease just be ready to replace the OEM shocks back if it goes bad on you. Also Radar/Detector won't help you now a days since cop just zap you with their laser gun and by the time your detector warn you, you're already been zapped you can use that extra 500 for other mod.

Another thing I could do is...

Get some nice Used Volks for like $2500 and an exhaust for $1500

Go $500 over my budget to get springs and sways, and be done.

I would say the MREV and exhaust are going to be a good combo and the MREV will help give a little bite to the bark. W/T are hard to argue against, with as much of a visual difference as they make. Get the MREV in place of the sways and get the sways later. Springs would be nice to do at the same time you do W/T.

^+1 In terms of performance and Sound everyone here pretty much said that MREV is the first thing you should add the rest it's up to you. It's pretty much your own decision now and we have given you different combo to go with.

I've seen the MREV Gains and how highly recommended it is...but it changes the sound of the car too?

A little bit, or a lot?

Yap, noticeable difference more of a deep throaty growl. I rather have my engine sound different than my exhaust. Engine RRRROOOAAARR means something in the engine... Exhaust RRRROOOAAARRR mean annoying Ricer...

It changes the intake sound under WOT really noticable once you're around 4-4.5k RPMS. The HKS adds a real deep rumble (not ricey) similar to a V8 at idle. When you take off it is nice and loud but you can manage the "volume" by how you manage your accelerator. For me the tips took a bit to get used to, I like the stock look but just back off the car a bit and look at that stainless steel shine underneath the car... It just looks nice. It also looks like it cost 1800 and doesn't cheapen the look of the car IMO.

Go for it dude, enjoy whatever you choose!

I feel that that MotorDyne's MREV is a definite candidate and an excellent place to start. After that . . . Enjoy researching and installing the rest of your new mods.

I think the body kits cheapen the look of the car. Keep it go, the car looks great as-is.

These discussions are the best. Most of the recommendations are a waste of money such as intakes and grounding wires. Nevertheless, the first step toward the Nissan proclaimed 280+ HP is a set of high performance cams and headers such as Jim Wolfe and Stillen. Your stock exhaust and intake is fine. Do not let anyone fool you. Your next addition should be the Motordyne plenum spacer, and you are done.

What mods would you get if you had a $4,000 dollar budget? (Not a dollar over)

Would you get a nice set of wheels and call it a day?

Or keep the stock 19's and throw on a body kit?

Or do a full blown sound system?

Or maybe a body kit and new components?
