I have the JWT cams, Stillen exhaust and Motordyne spacer and dynoed at 272 rwhp. The ECU was pulling timing 4500-5000 RPM due to not enough fuel. I purchased the Cams on Ebay for $600 and Nissan installed them for $600.

Do not let anyone fool you. Your next addition should be the Motordyne plenum spacer, and you are done.
FYI, he does have the a 06 6MT and it has 298 and not 280. As far as I know the JWT and stillen cams are for 03-04 Non-REVUP engine, and I'm pretty sure there's not one yet that gives considerable gain for REVUP engine(If there is one I'll be the first one to jump in) Right know your best bet is really the MREV.

You must have your posts confused with someone else. I do not recall anyone stating that this person does not have an 06 MT. And, the 298 HP you cite is strictly marketecture. Acutal rwhp is about 50 hp less...

1. lower
2. rims
3. sways

after that, worry about exhaust and engine mods. you wont regret it. i would take a drastic increase in handling and traction over expensive power mods for small gains.

I did not say 298WHP (Wheel Horse Power), and base Dyno of the 298(REVUP engine) is around 250-260(WHP). What I'm trying to say is that the 03-04 6MT are different from 05-06 6MT, They have a different engine and the mod that worked on 03-04 will/may not work with 05-06. One example is the spacer, a spacer alone on the Revup engine does not do anything, that is why Tony from Motordyne came up with MREV which work well with the Revup engine. The Cams that you are talking about only work with year 03-04 with the 280HP(engine), I just said 280 just to differentiate it with the Revup engine that came with 298 crank HP. Am I the one confuse here? If yes please educate me here.

It's just not Nissan that does this, in fact it is the HP at the crank, and the reason it's lower when you dynoed your car is that some are lost through your drivetrain and other places . I'm sure you know this already.

Edit:
This is from JWT sitecool:

DESCRIPTION:
S1 CAM SET FOR VQ35DE**. JWT S1 BILLET CAMS ADD 15+HP WHILE MAINTAINING EXCELLENT DRIVABILITY AND IDLE QUALITY

260 DEG DUR. / .428"(10.9MM) LIFT, INT. ADVANCED 2 DEGREES. ** NOTE: THIS CAM UPGRADE MAY REQUIRE THE IDLE RPM BE SET TO 850 RPM TO PREVENT POSSIBLE STALLING AT IDLE. 2004+ LEV II VEHICLES DO NOT ALLOW FOR IDLE ADJUSTMENT AND SHOULD NOT USE THESE CAMS WITHOUT SEEING OUR TECH SECTION ON IDLE STABILITY MODS. WILL NOT WORK ON 2005+ REV-UP ENGINE WITH EXH. CAM CONTROL.

Case close.

mike ure gettin an 06? no wayyy..thats awesome man

the g isnt very responsive towards power unless u go fi..get the hks exhaust, and lower ure car, and the mrev since its basically the best bang for your buck this side of fi..a nice front lip spoiler and maybe the gialla grill would put you back maybe 600? i think..

so basically...hks, springs/shocks, mrev, and the visual mods..save the rest of the money for more important stuff

Yea, my lease is up very soon...I've completely parted out my car.

The only 2 cars that mean anything to me and are in my price range are the BMW 330i and the G35...But on a lease there's about a $100 a month price difference, the BMW is a better car...but in my honest opinion there's no way in hell it's a $100 dollars a month better, that's just me, I could be wrong.

I'd actially prefer another 4 door G, but I've never in my life had a 2 door...plus the new sedan is coming out soon..but the coupe has another year left...so I'm going to just get the coupe.

As far as mods I think I've finally decided on...

$1500 for Double Din and Eclipse Navi Head Unit
$500 for Springs and Sways
$800 for Fuji exhaust...the HKS is nice but it's like $1500 which is kinda pricey, but maybe once I hear both I'll spring for the HKS if it looks and sounds that much better.

And I think that's about all I need...maybe some used wheels?

having toyed with the sound system in the G extensively, i must say the speakers are not the weakest link. its the head unit.
if you wanted to change that, you can. id also get mrev, exhaust, sways, dampeners.

Since HKS is true dual, Fuji + Fuji y-pipe would be more equivalent, which costs about 1200-1300 total. I would rather have the HKS for that price... HKS can be had for about 1400, so the price difference isn't that great.
