My 05 G35 dyno .. PIC & VID nice result

OK... Today I went with my friend to dyno our cars.
- He has 350z 04 6MTwith EVO gear ratio, Utech, Headers, Test pipe(racing cats), custom exhaust with greddy muffler & tips.
- Me G35 05 6MT with injen Intake, stillen headers, injen exhaust.

He ran his car for an hour to get the best HP and TQ. He was playing with the Utech. He started with 220whp in the end he got 247whp. I was like

Then I bang my G to the dyno, I was like ok I think I’m going to get 243whp, I asked my friend what do you think he said 239whp to 240whp since I have the rev up engine. When I tested my car first run I got 250whp he was like and I was like second run I got 252whp the last run I got 255whp he was like HOW and I was like cool.

Check out the picture below with the video, I thing the temperature was like 48F.

Tell me what do you think, I'm very satisfied with the result

the A/F seems a bit high, but is very consistent around 13, so i would say it is good =)

and the numbers are just freaking amazing!

FYI, those mods seemed to have gained you nothing. I dynos 253 hp and 230 tq bone stock on my 05 6mt.

The Injen Intake and Headers usually show no gains on this car. Wish you had a before and after so we can compare the midrange power gains if there were any.

The A/F ratio is really high. If you got your ECU reflashed (or got UTEC like your buddy), your numbers would probably be better. I liked how you used the smileys, though!

He's dynoing at the tires ... so that could've made a difference between your results and his

This is a very poor statement to make.

Everyone knows that all cars are not created equal. Just because your car started stock with 250 @ the wheels, doesn't mean he did. For all you know, he could have started with 225 peak HP and bumped to 250. Also, I have seen numerous dynos showing that headers on the G35 improve HP and Torque A LOT through the midrange. Peak numbers are all fine and everything (especially when you're looking for bragging right), but fattening up the rest of the band is every bit as important.

MREV mod is a good example...Sacrifice 3-5 Peak HP to gain like 15HP/15TQ across the meat of the band....Sounds like an awesome deal to me.

EDIT: PS, Dont forget that different dynos are going to yield SIGNIFICANTLY different results. IE Mustang vs Dynojet vs Dynapak, also factor in elevation, tempurature, and the way that the dyno's settings were configured.

They are both the same. Dyno at the wheels.

It is not a poor statement. We have no baseline dyno to compare too. Most REV engines on a dynojet all dyno 245+ hp and 225+ tq to the wheels. Some of his mods have been proven by the 350z forums and here to not gain but actually lose power. That is why its always good to get a baseline.

Please show me these dynos with the headers before and after especially on a rev up. I have yet to see a car gain from just headers alone. Like I said, MIDRANGE power is what counts and that is why I said I wanted to see the dynos. Your just repeating what I said.

Car temp, car coolant temp,, oil temp, air temp and tire pressure, fluids in tranny/diff all make a difference in the dyno #s as well.

My problem with your statement only pertained directly to this part alone. You have no basis or any kind of evidence to support this. If he had a before dyno and and after dyno, then fine. But he doesnt.
