short block long block???

I was wondering what the difference is between a short block and a long block. I've been searching but found nothing on this. Can someone please explain this to me. Thanks guys!

short blcok is just the bottom end, in essence its the pistons rods and crank. a long block is the entire motor as a whole including the heads and valvetrain as well as the bottom end.

oh, so long block and short block is like the same engine, just categorizing it into the top and bottom sections?

pretty much. the short block is the bottom portion of the motor alone. the long block is the motor as a whole.

are u asking because you are confused on what to get from SGP?
