I don't really see the point of Carfax - it only works well if the vehicle went by some place that's part of their network

e.g., One of my friends works on cars - he was repairing a 300zx, bust tranny, turbos, everything, needed major overhauling (and had been in quite a few accidents from the frame damage and undercarridge damage)........a year later I see the car on ebay and carfax it for fun - comes back as a perfectly clean title (which, since I knew the history, it most certainly is not).

when the tocix mold start growign in it? ^_^

wouldn't suprise me given the price and the fact crooked dealers can shuttle cars all over the place to keep clean titles

Angry It was a scam

I didn't buy the damn car. As suspected, it was too good to be true. I drove all the way up there after begging them to tell me if anything was wrong with it. Two different salesmen told me it was fine.

The car was covered bumper to bumper with small nicks from rocks. It was involved in some kind of an accident, apparently at a construction site. It looks like a load of gravel was literally dumped on the car.

I voided the check and got back in the car to head back to Miami - wasted my Saturday for nothing. I will leave negative feedback for the dealer on eBay but of course I'm sure that won't matter to them. They will have to discount the price another $5k to move that car as it needs a complete paint job. It's all surface damage and the car is otherwise fine. Too bad.

Back to the drawing board...

I appreciate all of the input.

Sorry to hear about that. But it looks like you have a good head on your shoulders and you are waiting for the right G35 at the right price to come along. Take your time and you'll find the right one. Good luck on the next one.

I got there late, and saw the car still there. I went inside to see if you was still doing some paper work. The car did look like it did more than 5000 miles, more like 5300 miles. If you find anther one in Orlando, let me know and
I'll go for you and let you know if you should drive up here. Sorry bro.
PS. 2 salesmen ask me if I want to buy it and just have two, I said RIGHT.
