heel-toe shifting in 6MT?

Re: heel-toe shifting in 6MT?
I found it easy to heel-toe in the Coupe. The brake/gas pedals are close enough and the brake has the right sensitivity. Anywho, it is better than my other car, the brake/gas pedals are too far apart.
Practice people. Just be careful on regular streets, one screw up and you could be scrambling for a gear not noticing the car your about to drift into.
Enjoy!

Thanks. I just wish I had a hi-res version of the pic. It was pouring when I snapped it and messed up on the camera settings.
Watch the G35 vs m3 vs 350z video for some good heel-toe action. Also, try this link as a good reference...

Re: heel-toe shifting in 6MT?
I practice heel-toe occasionally while I am on the road... very first 'experiment' was with my bro's s2k. The stock pedals had a solid feel and plus the steering wheel was pretty much away from the face. Very comfortable... felt like a drive in CART. With the g35c the rubber stock pedals are pretty puny. I had to literally angle my foot perpendicular to the floor to achieve a comfortable toe-to-brake and heel-on-gas position. The seating position was VERY uncomfortable.. i couldn't handle the granny 'steering grab' with my elbows locked to a 60 deg. I bought some razo mesh pedals and they work like a charm... with an extra thickness and width of the pedals, a subtle 45-60 twist of the ankle does the trick... and my forearms are happy too!
double clutching helps preserve synchros in the transmission... it is not necessary yet considerable for those who are concerned about their dog-boxes. I don't like the feel of double clutch.. takes too much time.. I just disengage the clutch and MOST OF THE TIME gate each gear chronologically to save the synchros (just a bit) and for a smoother gear engagement.

afr0puff, where can I get that m3 vs g35 vs 350z video?
I tried heel-toeing a little randomly while driving around. I can see it's gonna take a lot of practice. I have the same problem, I have to twist my foot counterclockwise to an uncomfortable position in order to have adequate control over both the brake and the gas. Or I just need more practice. I'll keep trying...
