A Mustang GT and a G35 coupe would be a driver's race. There's no way it would be a "killing" either way. Both cars run low 14's

A Z28 will beat the G35 coupe, shouldn't even be close at all. Z28's run well into the 13's

The RSX Type-S wouldn't stand a chance. They run in the 15's

I'm not sure where you get your information, but assuming all cars listed are 02 or 03 models (and manual trans), then it's safe to say that you're a little off on your predictions.

 

stock G35 coupe will smoke new mustang GT... hell! i smoked one few days ago, i had a friend in the car, GT only had the driver... stop after we went at it, he rolled his window down n yelled " too fast! i cant even race you!" so... yeah...

rsx type-s... is a joke... i gave a rsx type-s w/ CF hood, n exhaust head start, caught up, waved bye bye to him n flew pass him...

 

Yeah I understand that this car isn't a performance car like a Viper or a Vette. It just seemed to me that there is a big difference of opinon on how the G performs. I had an idea of how it would do against the cars I listed and I just wanted to see what you guys all thought. I am definitely no expert and I'm not going to post any BS stories about how I took a Viper.

I do hope the G can take Mustang GT's or Camaro's because a lot of girls drive those out here in Cali and that's a bad feeling when a girl is laughing at you.

Oh yeah the reason I put up the Pontiac GT is because I heard it is all new for 2004 and it has 260 HP. I didn't put up the SS Marauder because it's ugly and it looks like the M45 but I read that it could also take the G.

Oh yea every one seems to be clear on the list of cars....but everyone forgot the lincoln v8 LS....it is pathetic the m45 took it out...but the G35 can still beat a M45 in a 1/4 mile race...... the V8 lincoln hits like 15.2 or 15.0 i read to different places.... too heavy, and auto...and uhh...crappy but it looks cool i think! So woot woot G35!! oh yea i agree with everything everyone else saying on this thread.

Wait the z28 is completely kill the g35 LOL... that car can almost beat a new e46 m3....what are u thinking? It does the 1/4 mile in like 13.2 and 0-60 in way under 5.

 

The Z28's are fast but they are not that fast, they are heavy cars. If you race one you should lose by about a car lenght or less. That's with a good driver behind the wheel, but most of the guys driving the Z's can't drive any way. No offense to the one's that can drive. But you know what I mean, Smokin tires off the line because all he knows how to do is dump the clutch. The G is a pretty fast car for it's weight and being a V-6. Oh and the G and definitly beat a mustang gt 5.0 or 4.6. I've done it easily.

 

Yes, they are that fast. I sold my Z28 in May. In my f-body club we have had no less than 10 LS1 powered Z28/SS/TA in the 12's with nothing more than drag radials - 3 of these cars were automatics. Severely modded ones are in the 10's at about 130mph.

F-bodys are about ~3450 lbs w/o driver. These cars don't have sub 5 second 0-60 times because they are severely traction limited off the line. My LT1 Z28 with bolt-ons (exhaust, intake) turned mid 13's at 103mph (street tires) and got smoked by stock LS1 autos. If a good driver got a good launch with an LS1 f-body the G35 would be almost .7 sec behind in the 1/8 and over 1 second slower in the 1/4. LS1 f-bodys routinely put over 300 hp and 320+ torque to the wheels the way they left the dealer.

Most people dont drive over 100 -110 MPH, and some cars are limited to a certain top speed, so if you have the will to spend a little time on the high speed end of the "G" you will probably win, [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

The RSX is a friggin meat waggon!! I raced on for Sh*ts and giggles. Actually the moron pushed me too far Reving next to me and I caved in but I had him in first gear, all the rest just added insult to his injury!! It was pretty funny actually.

 

Racing on the street is dangerous and stupid. You're not only risking your life, but others as well. If you want to race, be safe and take it to the track.

god yo uare the biggest piece of [censored] ive ever come across. I have personally raced WRX's and won, and lost some. Dont go throwing around bullshit numbers. There are so many factors that go in to 0-60 times. And an impreza wrx at DOES NOT do 0-60 in 5.4, try 6.1 "**** nut"
