Angry tire from dealer

I've been waiting for over two weeks for a rear tire for my 6MT coupe. Now the dealer says it'll be another two weeks. JUST FOR A TIRE? Does this seem ridiculous to anyone else? I picked up a nail and took it in since I have the tire/wheel warranty. What a pain in the ***, I have to get air put in it everyday I drive it or I get the low tire psi light.

Totally ridiculous! I would talk to someone higher up at the dealership and/or call Infiniti Customer Service. 4 weeks to get a tire?? Did they have to cut down the rubber tree??

I sent an email to my sales guy to forward to the general manager. Guess I'll see if that speeds things along.

These tires are made in Japan, you can't get them anywhere else. At least that's what Firestone told me when I had to put one on my sedan. Lucky for me there was one in an Austin dealer.

Well I sent a "heated" email to the sales guy I bought it from and told him to forward it to the GM. Today I got a call and said they got my tire. Not sure why I was getting jerked around and how much longer that was going to go on but the wait is finally over.

No idea why they would do this to you.. The longest wait shouldn't be more than 3 days, but the Infiniti dealer should have the tires stocked... They were probably having a warrenty issue they were sitting on.

Beats me but I hope I don't need to use this dealership's service dept much. Everytime I call to ask something I'm told they'll return my call and almost never do. If it wasn't for my salesguy helping out I would get anything done there. Are all dealerships this much of a pain in the *** when you need something (except giving them nearly 40 grand for your car)?

These guys are jerking you around there is no way that it will take 1 month to order a damn tire. You can get a replacement tire the same day. I work for a dealer and I can order tires all day and get it delivered the same day. What they hell is wrong with these people?

No they are not. I have an exceptional dealership that has treated me very well. Since you are good at writing letters, send a letter to your sales guy and tell him you have had enough with their service department and will be taking your business elsewhere. If the dealership gets enough mail like yours they may change the way they do business.

Glad you got your tire!!

I know what you mean, the last service dept guy at Key Infiniti got fired, (when I had my window seals replaced.) He never would call me back, so I complained to the manager. Sounds like the new guy isnt any better!
For the tire, I would have suggested they give me one off of another new 06 they have on the lot. When I suggested that for the window seal (since they ordered the wrong one) they got mine in the next day... Did they have you driving around on a spare that long? Cause I refused to drive my car with the bad window seals and drove around an 06 Sedan for a week.

Almost all good tires are made in Japan...

i suggest asking them to check with www.tirerack.com where they
usually have the 050's.

honestly, i would swap those out with S03's.
