Ive been keeping a close eye on the Black Obsidian G'. I think a black G looks amazing, but from what i hear, its most vulnarable to scratches since its dark and supposeably is harder to keep clean... is this true?

Well is it significantly obvious? Or do you have to stare and compare in order to tell that blacks show more dirt?

like everyone says, its easier to tell when dust hits ur car. my g is silver, but my last car, a black audi a4, would get dirty FAST! i would detail it almost every day, using meguiars quick detailer or the duster brush. but in all seriousness, nothing is sexier than a clean black car.

Yeah thats true...black is pretty hot.

But considering that... Im REALLY thinking about choosing ivory pearl over black...thats also really sexy color

Does Ivory pearl have any negative effects as black does (not only in dust)?

I love black cars but expect to spend plenty of time cleaning it.

Just traded in my 03 black sedan for an 06 diamond graphite coupe. I would have loved to do black but with two kids I don't have to time to devote to it's maintenance.

I dont have black but i think it would be worth it. I wash my car more than anyone i know.
(like 2 or 3 times a week)
If you love your car enough i think its worth all the maintenance.

vixen, heck, I like cleaning the car, but the fine swirl marks is what kills me, i wash my G with micro fiber towels since day 1 and still can't avoid em...

black = notice swirl marks from a mile away on a Sunny day! lol

i wouldn't be complaining if I was a pro detailer lol

Use Zaino on a black car. You won't have any visible swirl marks.

Use the best and do it right and you will be fine.

You will have to clean the car more often though. Once a week.
