Hey all, I know its been discussed before but i never seem to get any good responses. my question is, which exhaust sounds best? my definition of best flat out means which is loudest. Im not one to buy a Borla system for its price and not have it sound much diffrent if any at all from the stock. For the few horsepower gained, and little in varience with the exaust competitors in HP, im interested in one that sounds loudest. of course not loud in which it sounds like a rice car in which they have that real high pitch sound. but i think you all know what i'm talking about. i know theres supposed to be some article coming out soon comparing the brand exhausts but i doubt sound will be a factor in the comparison. anyway if anyone know and has Ingen, Stillen, etc. let me know. thanks id like to get to the bottom of this. BTW which springs should i get for the car to look like its made a diffrence with the stock 18's? thanks RX

Yeah someone please break down the differences between the exhausts. The shootout results would be nice but it seems that everyone was sworn to secrecy on them.

ahh only see for the 350Z whers the G35? may be similar but not the same car and sure the specs will be diffrent.

350Z = G35, same car, will sound the same, exhaust systems are designed the same for both, except for the 8 inch extension on the G.

I just saw those videos again and I am very happy I chose borla, this exhaust definatelly changes the sound a lot, although it leaves some of the stock sound in it. Its a nice mix. Very sweet low rpm bass rumbling(louder a lot from stock) and loud and screaming at higher rpms. And it definatelly adds some low end torque and mid-high end hp. I seem to nitice the low end increase the most.

 

Naaaa! I have a buddy who bought the Borla and it sounds no diffrent than mine!

If you can, check out the fall issue of Sport Z Magazine. Yuichi of Strickly Z, our forum sponsor, did an outstanding job on the Exhaust Shootout Article. The results are very interesting. You can find pictures and sound files for each of the systems on Sport Z Magazine's website.

A suggestion. Get a copy of the magazine and checkout the dyno charts. Look at the Hp and torque increases across the entire rpm range.

You can find the peak Hp and Torque results on my350Z.. The top two peak Hp systems were 1/10 of a Hp apart. The top torque system was 30% to 98% higher than the others.

There should be little or no difference between the 350Z and G35 Coupe exhaust systems.

 

Dude then he doesnt have the Borla or you are deaf! maybe he got just the tips to be cool.

 

I can guarantee you that mine is one if not THE loudest exhaust out there. Made by Pro-1 performance. I had posted a sound clip of it w/ silencers in. I have now taken them out, and its much louder. It'll vibrate people in other cars. Looks nice too IMO. PM me if you want more info.
