Wheel squeak when first pulling out

For the past 2 months(happens more now than it did at the beginning) my left rear wheel squeaks when I first pull out of the garage for the day(regardless of time of day or weather) and continues to squeak for 100 or so feet and then stops. Doesn't do it again for the rest of the day. Any idea what could be causing this? Car is a '05 coupe AT w/ sports pack and is 10months old with 6300 miles on it.

does it go away when you apply the brakes?

Not all the time. I've tried "stomping" on the brake pedal to see if I can get it to stop. It's worked once or twice but most of the time it keeps squeaking for a little bit further down the street. It's weird.

i don't understand a lot of the questions from people with cars under warranty.
If it's under warranty, bring it in, get the loaner, and get it fixed. That way the record of the problem is recorded.

not trying to minimize your problem, but most cars left out in the elements will develop a layer of oxidation on the rotors. if left for three or four days undriven, you can see the rust that forms. my car is garaged, and if i don't drive it for a while, the car will squeal a little until i get the oxidation off by the application of the brake pedal several times.

I realize that the dealership could tell me what the exact problem is but given traffic the nearest dealership is 3hrs round trip. I'd be slightly ticked if I made the trip and then was told flatly that there is nothing wrong and that's probably oxidation. Hence asking here and hoping for people like speedracer to reply.

The oxidation makes sense to me. I drive my car every day but the "garage" is basically an open parking area under my condo complex so it's totally open to the elements. Just weird that it only affects the left rear.

That is excatly what I think it is as well...it just takes a few rotations of the tires to clean up the rotors and the sound should dissapear. Happens to me as well.

I do get a bit of rust on my motorcycle rotors if I don't use them as they were meant to be used, HARD! They are brembo and have a high iron content.
