Which Amsoil Air Filiter to use?

I was looking at getting an Amsoil EAA Air Filter for my G35. I would like to know if this is a good type of filter to run. Also if you could give my the part number to use in the G35 Sedan.

Well I found the part numbers for items for the G35, which are listed below:

Air Filter: EaA74

Oil Filter: Ea012/SDF13

Cabin Filter: 24857

Is anyone on this forum using Amsoil air filter?? I would like to know what you all think about their air filters.

Use the Ea020 oil filter, it's an oversized version of the SDF13

I'm using the EaA74 nano filter for my 05 6mt sedan in combo with z-tube....
It was sorta a PITA to get the stock one out and replace with amsoil (why couldn't it be as easy as my 2k2 6spd maxima??? Pop top clips and pull out...).

Anyway, the filter is not oiled like K&N which can potentially muck up the MAF sensor (although no reported incidents have occurred in the forums yet...), and the color is blue... it can be reused through proper cleaning too...

I looked at the stock air box and see that there are clips at the top. So you have to do something else to get the air filter out. I thought you just had to open the two clips at the top and pull it out. HMMM. Can you explain how to get the filter out than to make easier for me.

The way I remove my air filter is by removing the entire airbox assembly. This appears to be the easiest way to do it since it just involves uncliping a few hoses and screws and just pulling the assembly out.

Thats poor design if you have to remove the stock air box to replace a filter. I will have to look at mine this weekend.

yeah, you basically have to remove the whole airbox by removing a few bolts and the intake tubing after the maf sensor, which would allow for the removal of stock filter and replace with new filter... there are clips on the sides but lower towards the bottom corners... the airbox design is a poor design and not basic maintenance friendly, just like the oil dipstick but that's another endless thread to talk about...

I lookedat the stock air box again and did find clips on the one side near the bottom, fender side. It looks like the box doesn't come apart very easily. I may have to install a stillen or pop charger, which looks easier to get to the filter for maintance.

When I was using a K&N filter and the Amsoil filter. . . I simply unfastened the 4 clips (2 on top and the 2 located on either side), pulled the front section of the stock air box towards the front of the car (this will compress the Power Duct) and pulled the drop-in filter out. If so desired, you can remove the Power Duct. This will afford you more room to pull the front half of the airbox forward. The Power Duct can be easily removed by pushing down on the 2round plastic tabs/rivets.The only tricky part is that you need to pull and push the 2 airbox halves away from each other. Other than that, it should only take a few minutes to remove and replace the drop-in filter.

Thanks for the information. Did you find I little more preformance going to the Stillen from the K&N Drop in Filter?

That is the best way. If someone just pops the clips & squeezes the filter out they take the chance of knocking debris off the filter & into the airbox. This debris will find it's way into the Air Flow Meter & cause a poor running condition. Also, I use a small shop vac to clean them when apart.
