jus wondering if anyone has heard if Infiniti might be making a G45?

 

no, definately not.

 

there was a thread a while back that had links to show G37 had been trademarked by Nissan... there were several others too but I can’t remember if G45 was one of them. The thought obviously is that they were intending to produce something along these lines. Personally I thought we were going to see a 3.7 liter G in 07.

Most people feel an 8 cyl "G45" would ruin the wait distrubution. I'm sure we will see a bigger motor in the G at some point though.

 

Well, you add weight with the 8 cylinder, which would use up at least a little of the extra power.

But would they really want to compete like that against the M45?

Maybe they ought to have a newer car to be the new low end model. Size it around the IS or 325 in size, and have better numbers by reducing the weight of the car.

 

no way there will be a g45 those roumors were more or less dispeled by the m45.

 

i dont there would be a G45 it would conflict with the M45

 

I do think that Inifinti/Nissan will follow the trend of a factory tuner division like AMG or the M series for BMW. And if they don't, they should. Then we might see a steroid version of the G. Man, that would be nice.
