A couple ?? 4 you techie's
Hello Everyone, first time user & poster. Love my G35. Had to wait 18 weeks to get it (customer ordered) but worth the wait. Anyway I was wondering about a couple things:
1. I see the coupe is rated at 280hp. Is it an easy adjustment for a shop to bring/add 20 hp to the sedan? Will it nullify my warranty?
2. I wish the sedan had dual exhast like the coupe. Is this also something that can did done relatively easy?
Thanks

1. In terms of boosting HP ratings to +20HPs, it is possible, but there is nothing at the moment other than air filter changes and exhaust systems. Those will not make 20HPs though. Just wait it out and depending on where you get things done. If you get it outside of Nissan/infiniti, it will void your warranty on that item changed.
2. I would not change my muffler system to dual exhaust if it is not produced like that from the factory. Splitting the exhaust from one muffler or changing the car to have 2 mufflers will only decrease your power ratings.
That's my opinion, if anyone disagrees they are more than welcome to explain what they think.

It's still nothin but a G thang

Im really looking into getting the Gialla body kit... Its just too damn expensive... around 2k to get it here... then another 1-2k for installing it (modifying back bumper.. has some sort of problem)... Maybe somone (cadillaccarl) *ahem* should import them and some how find somone to modify the back bumper and resell them... )

same kit as that on rumbles sig.. don't everyone go out and get this same kit now.. haha..
it's nice.. but i like to have a reasonable amount of clearance.. i find i don't like having to bow down to those dreaded speed bumps.

yeah, i like the way a lot of cars look when you add kits and such.. especially in movies.. but then i remember i live in the real world.. and moreover.. i live in houston, which has some of the worst road conditions due to its constant construction, so getting a nice body kit just isn't ideal.. it'll be good for a while, but then i'll hit some debris or fall into a pot hole, scratching and scraping it.. sooner or later, i'll want to replace the kit.. just too expensive for me.. so i'm happy with the kit i have on it now.. even tho i worry it'll be expensive to replace that one too if i had to.

johnsg35,
I've researched this myself, being i'm getting a MT6 sedan.. From the peeps i've talked to and the specs, the only difference between the Coupe and the Sedan is the Exhaust and Body Panels, otherwise its the exact same car.... The dual exhaust from the coupe will bolt onto the sedan.. the only mod you have to do is trim the rear bumper for the 2nd exhaust pipe.. this shold give you the same HP rating as the Coupe... I know www.g35accessories.com was selling the coupes dual exhust for sedan owners for $900, but for some reason they have removed it from there web page.. I'm guessing since they were a Infiniti dealership, Infiniti found out about it and made them remove it... As i've metnioned before, soon as I get my car in April I will be doing this mod. I'll dyno test it and post the results...
