Has anyone else thought about using the Z spoiler on their G35 sedan? I actually went to the Nissan dealership and measured it. Looks like it would fit perfectly on the back of my G35--just a matter of bolting it onto the trunk lid. I don't want to be paranoid but could this void the warranty on the car somehow?

It might but you would need to be asking for coverage on the rust through/corrosion portection of the warranty to cover something and thats not likely...is it? Go for it. They can't nail you for it and say your seat is rocking becasue of the Zs spoiler and we won't warranty it.

And they can't say gee your front fender is rusting because of that spoiler... the only thing is if it were to rust where you installed the spoiler but what's the chance of that...

Very true-you might want to see if the spoiler has a gasket that fits between it and the body,if not I would seal the hole I drilled with silicone or poly to keep water out.

Which spoiler are you talking about? The 350z lip spoiler? If so, you can mod it so that you don't use mounts, but just 3M double sided sticky foam. Give it a try.

I am kinda partial to the spoiler that came with my aero dynamic package. having the dealer install would ensure that it would be fully warrantied

Keep in mind that just because the length is the same, doesn't mean that the spoiler will look right on the sedan. The trunk on our cars bend making a very slight U at the edge, but someone has to find out how the shape of the 350z spoiler is. If it's straight, you're gonna have a hard time bending it to fit our trunk due to it's thickness.
