Looks great. I can't wait till it drys. I got 35% on the sides both front and back windows and I did 20% on the rear window. Now just to get my CG shipment in and I'll start taking some pics.
I think I might try getting a grounding wire kit next.

Just wondering, but is the 35% on sides and 20% on back within the legal limit for CA? Also, who put in your K&N and do you notice a difference?
the 35% on the sides isn't legal on the front windows. But I can easily get a Dr's not or from an Optomotrist saying my eyes are sensitive to light. It doesn't look super dark anyway. I don't think I'll be hassled unless I'm pulled over for something else. I haven't had a ticket since I was 16 though.
As for the rear 3 windows, you can do it as dark as you want.

Oh yeah, as for the K & N, I haven't yet put it in but I'll do it myself. It shouldn't be that difficult at all.

Does having a doctor's note really work? Do you have documentation from DMV that this is true? I also want to get my windows tinted but am afraid if I get caught they could make me remove it. Sure makes the G look awesome.

Sic, I want to see pics. I was thinking of the same tint pattern.
As far as using a note, that depends on the officer's knowledge of the code. If he/she knows it, it will never work (in CA). Also, getting an optometrist or opthalmologist to write you a fake note is a risky thing. If the doctor in quesition's MRB gets wind of it through legal channels (questioned by the court or officer) and cannot verify your condition with data and records, then that doctor will lose his/her O.D./M.D. license to practice. My optometrist is a personal friend and I would never ask her to do such a thing. "Please risk your livlihood so I can look cool." Sorry, not for me.
It's all moot anyway, since if an officer lets someone off for a tint job in CA because that person has any kind of note, that officer just doesn't know the code:
CA Vehicle Code-
Material Obstructing or Reducing Driver's View-
26708. (a)
(1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows.
(10) Sun screening devices meeting the requirements of Section 26708.2 installed on the side windows on either side of the vehicle's front seat, if the driver or a passenger in the front seat has in his or her possession a letter or other document signed by a licensed physician and surgeon certifying that the person must be shaded from the sun due to a medical condition, or has in his or her possession a letter or other document signed by a licensed optometrist certifying that the person must be shaded from the sun due to a visual condition. The devices authorized by this paragraph shall not be used during darkness.
(b) This section does not apply to any of the following:
(4) Side windows which are to the rear of the driver.
(8) The rear window or windows, when the motor vehicle is equipped with outside mirrors on both the left- and right-hand sides of the vehicle that are so located as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway through each mirror for a distance of at least 200 feet to the rear of the vehicle.

Sun screening devices permitted by paragraph (10) of subdivision (b) of Section 26708 shall meet the following requirements:
(a) The devices shall be held in place by means allowing ready removal from the window area, such as a frame, a rigid material with temporary fasteners, or a flexible roller shade.
(b) Devices utilizing transparent material shall be green, gray, or a neutral smoke in color and shall have a luminous Transmittance of not less than 35 percent.

Wow, thanks for the very complete info!! I was thinking of tinting the fronts 35% and the rears 20% that way it is very obvious that the fronts are lighter than the rears. What would you advise?

I did Solargard Quantum 28 front, 19 rears and 50 windshield . Click on my MODS link in my signature for pixes.

Fox, I was thinking the same thing (assuming I go with a tint at all), fronts considerably lighter than the back. Maybe 35/25 or so.
I still haven't decided if it's worth the risk yet.

Love the tint. My G is also silver and I think I'll have mine done like yours. Very Cool!
