I guess it depends on how low you go. I am not going to get a camber kit. I have coilovers on a GTI and a CLK 55 AMG and I am not running camber kits. Both are slammed.

Because I will be running 275's on the back of my G I will be getting the fenders rolled however. But if you dont go too wide you will not need to roll them. I bet you would be fine with 245's.

I want to drop maybe 1.5" in front and .75" rear. I've read that even drops as minor as these require camber kits. Perhaps I should just do Tein H-Techs. My G is a daily driver and thus I cannot afford to run tire-eating negative camber.

The most mild drop possible on an X would be to just switch out your springs with some from an RWD. That would give you .5" all around. I just installed coupe sport springs in the front and sedan sport springs in the rear. It gave me ~1" in the front and ~.5" in the rear...maybe slightly more. Gave me an even gap all around. Probably too mild for most people on this board, but it's perfect for what I wanted. I haven't had an alignment done yet, but I don't expect to need a camber kit.

Sorry no, I was replying to the statement made about the need for camber kits after lowering. Hell I may be dead wrong and have to buy a camber kit. But it doesnt matter because my car is getting dropped regardless. The OEM ride height is a joke.

any of you guys blow front struts yet?

i dont recall ever seeing someone mention they blow out their struts... rears i dont care for since they are cheap to get replacements...

a friend wanted to know VS going coils like myself. For the money if no one here reports blown struts it would be better go that route and save for coils.

thoughts on eBay camber kits? This one looks pretty good. Good adjuster bolt location.

At that price, I'd rather go with the Ichiba for $10 more.
