I'm in the process of swapping out my front struts and mounts and rear shock absorbers and mounts, anyone here know what are good front strut mount replacements for the X, as well as rear shock mounts?

I was thinking these strut mounts for the front:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...n+%26+Steering

And, these shock mounts for the rear:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...gs+Best+Seller

Can anyone confirm if these would work as a direct replacement for my 04 X? Thanks.

I have been reading a lot about the lack of front struts for the X, because no one makes good aftermarket ones. So I have been wondering if we could just cut off the stem on the RWD front shock/strut, put the dent in it for the fork bolt and simply insert it into our fork. Any one have the RWD and FWD struts to compare them? The shock body for the two look the same in pictures.

Ok gang,
I have great news for others with '05 g35x. My car guru just set up a set go Ksport coil overs on my car... Dialed in the spring ratio and the are going to make it available to you all. I freaking love it. Plus Ksport makes a quality product and like 32-36 settings. Seriously... I have been researching coil overs....BC...Megan. Now there is a new player woo hoo.

I'm gonna be picking up a set of revised Z springs off a local member, and I've been reading mixed review of this spring setup on an X.

My car is an '05 X, bone stock with 160,000kms. I want just a moderate drop and I believe the Z springs will give me the drop I want.

I've read that some people have an extremely bouncy ride and they rub when they have passengers in the back, but I've also read that people have a great ride with no complaints. So I'm a little confused as to which will actually happen?

For what it's worth, I plan on running the OEM Coupe 18's once the car is lowered. Hopefully I won't have any issues.

All I have to say is get the Spot coils and roll the rear fenders. I can ride four deep and get no rub and even with min settings very little bounce

my Z springs made me sick after a while, bouncy was too much for me.

I only rubbed on the pass side where the fuel and evap system was because i had 265/40 tires on. I think coupe 18's with a 235 or 245 should be safe.

But the Z springs was the cheapest way to get a so so drop. The rear was perfect drop but the front was still too high. Coilovers solved everything but thats like $800-1000 to $50 Z springs at most.
