Geew1Z

Tenabe NF, Tenabe GF, Tein H Tech, or Impuls

--- these are the more modest drops but you should still get a rear camber kit...they don't cost as much as changing tires every couple months...trust me i wore out some Falken tires in 2 Months...but i was having fun with them

BC Coilovers - I have mine set to pretty much the softest setting and I find it quite stiff. Some of the roads around Toronto are pretty bad.

Ok, so i havnt read all 99 pages, but i found these KYB struts that say they fit the 05 X..... is this a typo? or has anyone tried these?

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...n+%26+Steering

Part number: KY341380

how do you tell if the OEM struts are bad? is it just a bounce-ier ride? ive got 93K on mine now and i dont think the previous owner changed the struts... but im not sure on that one...

Interesting, never seen those. I guess it can't hurt to buy a set, try them, if they fit report back and let everyone know! The picture looks damn close to Kazaam's custom built ones.(size, shape, etc, not brand)

Here are pics of before and after that show how much of a drop the X gets from the unrevised 350Z springs, and a pic of the KYB strut. The front settled about another 1/4" after driving for a day.

I'm installing REAR KYB GR-2's this weekend just as an extra addition to my springs. I'll let you know how it goes.

But no, it's not a typo.

I'm glad you found a set. Keep us up to date with ride experience. Anyone know good struts for the front?

The only struts for the front are OEM, KYB GR-2's, or custom Koni's like Kazaam's. That's one of the major problems with lowering an X.

The rear shocks are the same for both RWD and AWD so there are several options there.

Oops, my mistake. I guess i should have looked at the pictures of the BC coilovers a bit closer. They looked like they had pillow ball top mounts on the fronts because of the way the top plate appears in some of the pictures. I can see it better in TurTLe's close up pics.

Hopefully I will be able to get a set of BC coils in the next couple weeks. That is, if I decide to keep my car. I have seen a few BMW 335XIs around with low mileage and decent prices. Something about having a twin turbo inline six in an AWD sedan similar to ours that makes 384 hp and 421 lb/ft of torque with an exhaust and an ECU reflash that includes a factory warranty match of up to 4 years or 50,000 miles makes that car very tempting. The Vortech supercharger I was thinking of buying will only bring my car up to 404/350 and then I will have as much money invested in my 06 G35x as what I could get an 08 335xi sport for with 20k miles... Decisions, decisions.
