No offense intended, but are you making your car the way YOU like it, or the way somebody else likes it? I don`t think I would like yellow wood, but I thing a subdued wood just looks classier than aluminum or CF. What to YOU like. That`s the way to go!

IMO: on the black car go with dark wood or aluminum, the CF always looks cheesy/ricey

the trim kits here are more like really thick 3M stickers that you stick on. I personally hate the way they look because it looks like you just added a layer on top of your stock interior. the one's for Japan parts are actually switching out the trim pieces so it looks like it does belong there. As far as the trim that is already on your car, good luck taking it off because they're gonna be a bitch to rip off and will definitely tear up the paint that is behind it. They were applied in such a way that it wasnt suppose to come off. Let us know how you did

Well, the factory wood set in the '03-'04 is birdseye maple, see below, and it may appear "yellow" compared to the rosewood trim in the '05-'06. Is it only on the door handles and the shifter? If so, that's the factory wood trim, also, if you try to "dent" it with a fingernail, it won't leave a mark at all, if it's an aftermarket, most likely it will leave a small dent, that will disappear I think.Originally Posted by LILShiraz

Yeah, right, at $354.20 and no cutouts for the seat switch and a cutout for the snow switch, that's nuts!Originally Posted by dyenboy

Oh, I didn't think so the way it's worded, but I guess it just means the one pictured isn't for heated seats. That's still a lot of cash though.Originally Posted by BigSash

Yeah it is a lot cause it is mainly targeted at the local Japanese markets, the $ prices are just based on the exchange rate, so it is going to be pricey. I wouldn't buy them, but they are the nicest wood "kits" on the market for our cars, they make them in several finishes and they are complete pieces not like 3M vinyl. They have them with cutouts and without and they have some really nice stuff for RHD G35's. As mentioned though it is very expensive and I don't have money to burn, I just painted all my console pieces to match body color, and I have factory wood on the shifter and handles.

big sash if you read carefully i said the ones from japanparts are switching out the trim pieces (not addons) and they look like they belong there (meaning i like them better than 3M addons). I guess you misunderstood me.
I've had the 3M trim pieces the original poster was talking about on my civic si and I have to tell him that they are cheap and nothing like the ones from japanparts.com. they are pricey due to the quality of their trim moldings. they are actual pieces where you had to remove the stock trim to replace rather than just adding a piece of 3M plastic ontop of the stock trim. if you have the money, definitely go with the one's from japanparts.

Wood sux,
i would never get wood, aluminum looks clean and classy. I have an 05 and i love the aluminum trim, kinda sucks for older Gs that got plastic.
