Loss of power... is this normal?

I have an 06 X... need to know if this is normal... on hard turns my slip light comes on, while the light is on I cannot accelerate... once the light goes off I can resume acceleration... haven't had the luxury of the VDC kick in to keep me straight b/c of the loss of acceleration...

I took out a loaner m35x yesterday, took a hard turn slip light came on, still had acceleration throughout and I could feel the VDC kick in to keep me straight... never felt that with my car...

So my questions... is this normal? Does this have to do with the throttle body position sensor? Should I take my car in?

normal, when the slip light is blinking, the ecu is cutting your fuel to keep you and your car straight

Once the vdc kicks in you are cut off. I wish it was less sensitive but it is nice to have for those 'uh-oh' moments.

yeah u also leave urself wide open to having your rear swing out...

if you turn vdc off, practice ur fast turns in an empty area where you won't crash into anything or anyone else's car....

the car definitely feels different with VDC off

damn the vlsd that I just swapped for.. I now run my car all day long with vdc off (except when I have passengers) and guess what, my turning lines are so much better with the vlsd... Imagine if I get a true torso or clutch type lsd !!!
