just a couple cool mods I did with some leds

Purchased 12 led bulbs for my parking/running lights to replace the yellow peanut bulbs and took the orange bulbs out of the clock and replaced them with hyper white leds using ronchung's install guide.
doesnt work right with firefox only IE

Ill try to get better pics tonight.

Question, on the clock, what happens if you just remove the yellow plastic caps on the stock bulbs? Is it just a dimmer white?

Post some better pics of the sidemarkers when you have time.
I put 6 extra amber LED's in mine too and they look 100x better.

Oh, I thought you were saying that you added LED's to your sidemarkers. Nevermind...

sorry to give you the bad news but I did the same mod in the headlight about 4 months ago...and both are already burnt out and I didn't bother replacing them. The cause of this you ask? Extreme heat inside the headlight housing doesn't mix with LEDs. They will be out so enjoy the looks while you can

Thought LEDs were tough as nail and suppose to last forever, guess not.

they are given that they are not exposed to direct heat for a long period of time. good places to to have LEDs on our car would be: sidemarkers, license plate light, reverse light if you want ( goes nicely with our LED tails but only seen when in reverse gear) interior dome, reading, step out lights, dash if you got the skills, visor mirror, and trunk. Key to the ingredient, no direct heat for a long period of time. anyone has any other places we can put LEDs?

Fast and the Furious LED ring exhaust tip?

disclaimer: I do not have that on my car, it was only a joke. LOL
