reg. coupe suspension
i have an 03 non-sport sedan
and im about to buy springs and shocks off an 04 coupe 6mt
the shocks and springs will directly bolt on w/ out any additional mods right???
and im assuming its going to be about .7 front .5 rear drop
on shocks and springs from a coupe right??
and also are coupe sways a good idea?

They'll definitely bolt right into place, but unless the springs are actually shorter, are you sure they'll provide any drop at all? The coupes are heavier, and with the sport suspension, I would think they would need to run higher spring rates, which would improve body roll, but might not lower your sedan. Z springs, on the other hand, would give you some drop. There was an old thread that listed the spring rates for Zs, coupes, and sedans; you might want to look for that info.
Unless you're getting a really good deal on the coupe sways, aftermarket adjustable sways are a better way to go, and they're relatively inexpensive.

i think im gettin a good price for everything together
so you're saying they might not drop the car
im not really looking for a major drop
like .5 in front or back would be ideal

Can't say for sure whether or not the coupe springs will lower your car, I just know that Z springs are a much more common swap. You'll need to find out the stock spring rates for your car, which I couldn't do quickly, and then this thread might be able to help you out:

Coupe springs will lower the rear 3/4". I am assuming the ride height on sport and non-sport sedans are the same.
See the following post with measurements:
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/109021-installed-unrevised-z-springsyesterday.html
I am not sure how much the coupe springs will drop the front as I did not put them on (I still have the z springs). I would not be surprised, however, if the front drops less than the rear. This is what happened with the Z springs and the reason I installed the coupe springs to raise the rear a bit. I think DaveB has posted his drop heights with the coupe springs all around. He too now has a Z/Coupe spring combo. If you run a search and I think you will find it. It was a big long thread in which Gsedan35 was schooling us all on suspension setups (as usual).
Hope this helps.

StarChamp, your advice off in regards to the coupe springs/shocks.
The coupe springs will provide a 1/2" drop all around for your sedan. They are indeed shorter than the sedan springs, and they do retain the same spring rates.
As for sways, definitely go aftermarket. Stillen or Hotchkis sways don't cost too much and make a dramatic difference in the cars handling.

Wasn't advice so much as a half-educated guess. My advice was to search for G35Sedan's suspension dissertation (which still ought to be a sticky!!).
Knowing now that you're only getting a 1/2" drop, without any improvement in spring rates, on equipment that's 2+ years and who knows how many miles old, I don't think the gains would be worth effort it would take to install them.
My advice now would be to go aftermarket on everything, springs, struts, shocks, and sways. LuXXXz, if it's just a drop you're after, you can get springs for $150-200, which hopefully is only a little more than what your paying for the used Coupe stuff. However, putting new lowering springs, especially progressive-rates, on tired struts/shocks isn't the best idea; you really should replace them too (another $600 minimum).
