Highest mileage G35 on here? (Do not post less than 500,000 miles)
Don't know if I posted on this thread or not. I bought mine with 114k. When it turned over 130k the Harmonic Balancer came off (Weird) and pulled the key out of the timing gear and blew the motor. I now have 133k on mine with a motor with 7000 miles on it. :-)
I'm still gettin' it.

Yep, weirdest thing I have ever seen. Never had a HB come off before. It spun off and sheared the key off the crank that held the timing gear in place and they spun seperately and trashed all the valves in the heads. Freaky I know....
Here is the timing gear that came loose from the crank

And as you can see here, the HB is crooked and loose

The bolt was just sittin' in there.

The HB came off in pieces and one of the spokes of it ws cracked.

I have you all beat. I may have the highest mileage G35 in the world. I'm at 183k and counting. Car runs like a champ. I’m the third owner of an original 03 G35 RWD. I know both previous owners and know that the car was well taken care of before I bought it at 150k miles. Fully loaded, nav, remote start, and everything else. I have never worked on my own car until I got the G. I was told that maintenance is a snap. This was originally an experiment to learn how to maintain my own car. Thanks to numerous posts on G35DRIVER I am now comfortable with almost all maint tasks. I also fell in love with her.
FYI posted a while back.

Just changed the tranny fluid. Always use M-1 full synthetic oil and high performance oil filter. Just Z-Max(ed) the tranny, oil, gas, and steering fluid. Car runs great for an old gal. I have also installed new pads and frequiently rotate the tires. I'm running GY Eagle RSA's. OE size. Original rims.
Only one problem. The car needs a new passenger side catalytic converter but I’m not going to change it until I’m ready to sell the car. Don’t care much about the emissions and don't really want to spend the money. I’m going to upgrade to a 09 M35X next year.

At least you have high mileage, as that's what this thread is about (unlike some others....). Damn, that's the highest mileage I've seen posted for a 5 yr. old car!
so is 160k on orginal motor and trans the higher or was there more... i dont wanna go thru all 33 pages of people stating what they have.. because most are sub 100k and they know they are not the highest yet they post up.
Should delete all postings of anything sub 100k. Now a days 100k is like the 50k in 2000, everyone should and can pass up 100k w/o major problems.

198,000 km on the car 2003 sedan with no issues but rear fenders are starting to rust from the inside as I use a garage in the wintermonths, I'm in the North East. I was wondering what rear fenders cost as I still love the car..
