Re: Auto dimming rearview mirror

Going from my 02 TL (with a bum tranny) to the base G, I gave up a lot of frosting... I bought the base G thinking that I'm an "easy-to-please" type, and although I'm still happy with my car 95% of the time, I do feel like kicking myself in the head the other 5%, for not getting all the toys. My next car (in about 4 years or so) WILL have all the toys.

Wow... a red/willow w/18's just passed by my office, and stopped in a turning lane... that color looks damn nice in the late afternoon!

I know. Mine's actually loaded, and I'm bummed that it doesn't have features of other cars in the class, like memory mirrors to go with the seats, or rain-sensing windshield wipers, etc.

Re: Auto dimming rearview mirror

I think with the number of trucks and SUVs on the road autodimming mirrors should be standard. I'll never buy another car without one.

The homelink is nice, but garage door openers do the same thing (unless of course you're one of the 1% of the population with a remote gated entry).

Then again, as someone already mentioned, autodimming mirrors can be purchased after the fact... but who does that?

I'm one of those people with an assigned parking space, no garage, and no gate. My Homelink is feeling neglected.

So yeah, our gate does NOT like the homelink system. For some reason, it just refuses to acknowledge it no matter what. The garage door works, but does the gate want to? Noooo.... Damned snooty gates. Too good for homelink, huh??

Re: Auto dimming rearview mirror

The gate might have one of those rotating security codes that requires special steps to program.
