Anyone experience a creaking sound from the rear when going over a bump or accelerating quickly? Happens when I reverse out of my driveway when the back wheels drop from the driveway to the road. Creaking is only audible from the interior so I am thinking it might be the rear deck or other trunk panel. Any ideas or fixes?

Have you checked your spare tire, could be something as simple as that!

How about the rear seat mounting? This kind of problem is very hard to find, I once had a car that creaked on a bumpy road, took it back to the dealer 3 times, the 4th time, the service guy pushed the car from side to side instead of up and down, heard the noise, turned out it was a brake hose cover rubbing on the body, stopped that! I thnik if it was the rear deck, you would hear it outside!

I have a big time creaking noise, but I know it's my Teins. Sending them back for warranty check.

I had the exact problem and the dealer tracked it down after 2 days.. they determined it was a loose weld/bolt on the rear of the back seat. Fixed it a few months ago and it hasn't returned.

i had that problem about 2 weeks ago. Any time i stop and put my foot to the gas, it made a really annoying noice from the right rear. When i took it to the dealership, the gave me a loaner right away because they didnt think it was safe at all. They ended up changing my whole rear axle and a couple other things that i'm not sure about. Make sure you get that checked out!

I have your same issue, but haven't had the time to troubleshoot it yet. When I ask my girlfreind to hop in the back of my G she get's the wrong idea. Have someone sit back there when you back down. You are right on with the rear seats or trunk area. I'm going to try and get back there this weekend and find it. It's definitly in the back seating area which rubs when the frame twists.

 

i have that issue and it is the brakes. It comes and goes. Of course it is only when you use the brakes

Brought my G in for service to fix the creaking rear. On the paperwork, the tech "Insulated Forward Trunk Compartment Panel. Road Test Found No Further Problems." One big problem, he didn't fix anything, the creak is stll there. I am not sure what sound he thought he fixed, but the sound I pointed out is still audible. I am going to bring it back in, this time I will suggest to the service writer that I drive with the tech to point out the specific sounds I hear. I say sounds because I have noises from both front door panels as well. I sure hope your investigation goes better than my service appt.
