OK, ok so we have spent almost a whole page talking about how wheels affect performance.

I would be more than happy to get into this more but lets start a new thread where people can find it in the future if they need to research it.

14.2" brakes would fit on an 18" wheel. There are quite a few G's with them. It's for looks.

Good luck at the track, I hav raced a charger SRT-8 a few times and won by a decent amount. I'd like to know what you run after you take it.
Nope, you can't blanket a statement like that. Will some 18's fit? Maybe. But very few. Depends on offset and style of wheel. The wheel has to clear the caliper, not the rotor. The SRT comes with big **** Brembo calipers.

The SRT track crowd is looking for a good drag radial, and we've found one in 19" size. But to fit 18's around these pie plate brakes is tough. If I showed you a pic of the stock wheels and brakes you'd be surprised how little clearance there is between the calipers and wheels.

I don't doubt a Stage 4 would beat a stock SRT8 at all. But you really need to track the car yourself to know what you have. Many times I have beat a car on the street that is faster than me on the track. Have you dyno'd your car? I'd be interested in the hp. Did you need to upgrade the rest of the drivetrain for Stage 4?

I am expecting a low 13 next week but hopeful of a high 12. Lots of guys have run high 12's stock, but the track has to be prepped (traction) and the weather needs to be cool.

A couple of companies have already done superchargers and turbos for the SRT. They are producing sick numbers, between 650-700 hp. Not cheap, but at least there is no going inside the motor as these things stock are forged and good for over 700hp.

"DPO3" - What is wrong with you man? No one wants to hear about your missing performance and such. Start a new thread and stop trying to jack "ttrank" thread. Not sure why you started this crap to begin with. WOW! Take it to a new thread.

Simply responding to everyones comments and questions, dude. Chill. If you don't like the topics, don't read. We're all here to learn, and frankly I've learned some stuff here. Sorry if you're not on board.

I have to agree. He has some good points, and some I disagree with but this is the wrong place for them. I just had a 4 paragraph reply all ready to post and decided it's not worth it to bicker about small stuff like this.

If DP03 wants to start a new thread I would be happy to discuss this more but for now I'm out.

It's cool. I don't have any problem with you but we are off topic here. Lets eiter stop or start a new thread to discuss the dynamics of wheels and their affects on performance in a new thread over in the wheel/tire section.

If you want to compare the G and STR8 we can do that here in a new thread too. I like looking into stuff like that one.

ttrank, I'm fine with starting a new thead. I went back and reviewed this thread, and you started by posting new wheels, and yes, I side tracked with the benefits/detriments of big wheels and performance. Sorry if it was a jack. Out.

This is a luxury sports sedan, you need some luxury somewhere. Honestly if all you give a damn about is handling and peformace go buy something something else.
