You shouldn't have to pay them to inspect the brakes AND pay them
full price to replace your brakes. I don't know of any other place that charges you extra to inspect your brakes if you wind up having them replaced there.

In addition paying them to inspect any of the other things that would be covered under warranty is pointless. I mean think about it, if you had a bad alternator that was covered under warranty, they wouldn't ask you to pay for them to inspect the alternator if they found a problem with it.

The bottom line is that dealer services are not there to service your car. They are there to service the dealers pockets since they always seem to add a lot of fluff type things that don't really need to be done and that the manufacturer doesn't require.
THANK YOU!!!! That's why I don't even bother with this scheduled maintenance bullshyt! Never have. When I get the notices in the mail I just throw them away. I change my oil myself every 3000-4000 miles and that's that. Why the hell would anyone pay the dealer to inspect something that will be fully covered by warranty anyway?! And when your brakes are going bad, you'll know it. Just listen for the squeak.

Or find out the hard way by having a collision.

You'd have to be an idiot to ignore the problem that long. And idiocy isn't covered by warranty XO
