That really sucks. I've had good luck here both buying and selling but I was burned once on EBAY. I feel for you and good luck finding the SOB.

File a complaint with IC3 at the FBI also file a police report where you live and they will process an arrest warrant

with this transaction I was suspecious from the start because the pics he sent me where from another person's thread about the wheels. He told me that they sold them to him and he didn't need them anymore. I told him to explain the situation to me and he jumped my sh*t and said fine don't buy them I am not trying to scam you; and guess what, he did.

Since u used a Credit Card call the CC company and tell them that the seller is a scammer and isn't sending you anything. They'll open an investigation into it and file a dispute as well, you should be able to get your money back since it was a CC

Thanks to crap like this, I never buy anything off the internet unless I can accept the fact that some punk may run with my money. That's why I'm only willing purchase items $150 or less from private individuals.

It's really unfortunate that people pull this kind of stuff, but they know that they're basically untouchable. The FBI, the local PB, Pay Pal, don't care about this stuff. It's not worth the leg work to go seek out someone to recoup $500-5,000 goods. Even if this guy was arrested, all it would amount to is a slap on the hand.

If this board is set up like maxima.org, then mod/admin "should" be able to see a deleted thread. To us, it's gone/vanaished. But they should see the thread in italics and see a deleted icon. Also there should be a "view thread" option. Therefore, mod/admin should be able to click the "view thread" and pull up the whole thread again. I hope they can help.

By the way: He's been here

I have made quite a few purchases between here and my350z, all with good results. So I guess my time was up. Unfortunately it had to be on the largest purchase I have made through the forum. I was getting excited on Sunday thinking they would be here any day and something else showed up instead. Another member sent me a PM asking if I knew anything about this seller "NoGeeNeeded" because he had sent him payment for his coilovers and had not heard back. I had posted in that thread so maybe I knew the guy. Oh $hit! These are not coming...

So I'm out $950 that I could have really used to put toward my credit card and not give to some a$$hole.

He has since deleted the thread and I sent a message to the webmaster Sunday asking if he can send me a link to the archive for my case with paypal and my credit card. So far no reply. It appears being a paying premier member does not get you any more respect or help when you need it.

So the moral of the story is be careful when you buy stuff on here. If it's a big ticket item consider using an escrow account. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

dude this sucks. I too have been worried to purchase anything off the forum, I think I'll just stick to purchases through Chad and be done with it. Just curious what kind of post count did this user have if you can recall? It might be a good idea to check into the posts he has made and make sure it is an active member of the community before buying, at least then there is probably less chance the seller is a scam artist.

Barbara Lewis?

Doesn't sound like the name of a person that would scam people..

However, hopefully you either:

a) Get your products
or
b) Justice is brought forth.

It's not fair and not cool to be doing what some people do nowadays. I've had some great transactions with people over here and @ my350.. and the people i've dealt with have always been cool/honest/down to earth people. Although we should always trust and believe that people all have kind and good hearts.. it's people like this that help us realize that it's not always going to end up this way.. there are some people that just need help.

I hope this gets resolved guys!.. Because this community is good @ helping each other out with various amounts of stuff.. I don't wanna see bad reps being thrown all over the place..

He had 25 posts which made me rethink the transaction, but then I realized that I have had 3 different handles on this site with a much higher post count with my other handles than this one and I have been on this site for well over 3 years and had many great transactions between this site and my350z.com. So then I decided to go out on a limb and trust him and I shouldn't have.

these are his post:

Which just reinforces the need for everyone to use the iTrader rating system. Most don't have any. Alot only have 5-6 if that. Only a very few have more than 10.
