Angry Got screwed in the marketplace.

Well a week ago I was very excited because I found a good deal on a set of almost new Tein CS coilovers with the EDFC. I have made quite a few purchases between here and my350z, all with good results. So I guess my time was up. Unfortunately it had to be on the largest purchase I have made through the forum. I was getting excited on Sunday thinking they would be here any day and something else showed up instead. Another member sent me a PM asking if I knew anything about this seller "NoGeeNeeded" because he had sent him payment for his coilovers and had not heard back. I had posted in that thread so maybe I knew the guy. Oh $hit! These are not coming...

So I'm out $950 that I could have really used to put toward my credit card and not give to some a$$hole.

He has since deleted the thread and I sent a message to the webmaster Sunday asking if he can send me a link to the archive for my case with paypal and my credit card. So far no reply. It appears being a paying premier member does not get you any more respect or help when you need it.

(**Edit: One of the cool mods, Ed Lin was able to get me a copy of the thread**)

So the moral of the story is be careful when you buy stuff on here. If it's a big ticket item consider using an escrow account. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

This is very bad news. I am so sorry for your loss man. Its hard to really trust anyone these days. I hope you get some sort of resolve.

I just hate hearing things like this. I hope you get that back man. Good luck and keep us posted...

I hate hearing things like this. But IMO, regardless if you're a premier member or not, I think that the admins should help you out to recover your losses.

Thanks guys.

Yeah this sucks. I have an open claim with paypal right now. I tried to stop the payment but I paid over a week ago and it is a done deal.

Sorry to hear that..It's too bad a couple of bad sellers make purchasing things on these forums such a risky deal...I've had quite a few successfull transactions
and one bad one that makes me wonder everytime I consider buying something on these forums...I hope PayPal and or your credit card company makes thing right for you..

Sorry to hear Tim....I've been burned before so I'm only doing local transactions for big ticket items.

Good luck on resolving this...hopefully you will get some help.

I have been teetering on whether or not I should go after an item in the marketplace and have been a little uneasy about it.

I have had a lot of good transactions here and on 350 and ebay as well but have had an uneasy feeling about this one.

Sorry to hear about the problem you ran into; I hope it works out for you.

If I would have been smart like that I would be $950 richer right now.

Hey Tim,

Get me the sellers name, email, general location, and any other information you have on him. I'll track him down. Seriously...

The market place should be closed to non-verified/non-premier members if they are selling.
