Seat Perforations

Well, I had posted this question before, but can't seem to find it so here it is again, I notice after vacumming my graphite interior, on the drivers seat, some little white fibers are sticking out of the perforations in one area of the seat, but after driving, the seem to disappear, I am wondering if this is a problem or if it is something inherent with the perforated leather, I have it on my list of things to take back, well, actually so far, it's the only thing! Thanks, I am curious about this!

Re: Seat Perforations

All the leather seats I've ever owned - that have perforations - have done this. From my experience, it's normal.

Thanks, that is what I wanted to know since I've never had this type of seat before! I guess on the willow you wouldn't even notice it!

Re: Seat Perforations

g35girl, what happened to your post about the seat? I went to reply to it, but said it couldn't find it, then I noticed it was gone!

Mine too. Nothing to worry about. Eventually they will go away

Yes, I noticed that, and tried to delete it, but it said "it was past edit time" or something like that! Let's see where this one goes!

Re: Seat Perforations

I will make this one observation about the perforations though, took my daughter and some of her friends to homecoming a couple weeks ago, all of them had glitter on their dresses and once the glitter gets into the perforations it is very difficult to get out. I'm still trying to figure out a good way to remove the glitter from the small perforations without damaging the seats.

Re: Seat Perforations

Ok, first time with perforated leather seats for me too. When I apply leather treatment I always wind up with some gunk stuck in some of the perforations. I use a damn toothpick to clear the stubborn ones out but it is aggravating and slow. Anyone got an easier softer way to do this? I use Meguiar's Leather Treatment and like it pretty well. Thanks for any help.

Re: Seat Perforations

Try applying/removing it with a soft brush, like an old toothbrush, that has always been my favorite cleaning tool seats! Slow, but not as slow as a toothpick!
