No alignment needed. So glad they figured out a simple, cheaper solution. I'm out of warranty now!

Damn, so that's what that funky noise is?? Sure wish that I found this thread sooner. My 05 is about to hit 37,000. Bought it @ 23. I'll double check if I'm still covered and inquire about the TSP tomorrow at Kearney Mesa. I hope I don't get bs'd though because that noise has got to go.

I Finally Fixed My Creak Noise Coming From The Front Suspension, All I Did Was Bought Some Silicone Lube And Sprayed All The Control Arm Bushings, Stabalizer Links, Compression Rods (ball Joints) Etc Etc Seemed To Have Stopped Creaking Right Away, After A Year Of Emberassment, How Long Will It Last I Don't Know, But Its Not A Big Job Takes 5 Mins To Lube All The Parts.

I had the problem with aftermarket suspension (pre 05 compression rods) - fixed under warranty with 05 parts (when they went beefier OEM)... haven’t had the problem since.

I don’t know which to choose in the poll since 2 apply to me. Prob w/aftermarket suspension, AND no problem w/aftermarket suspension (after warranty fix).

I had a creaking noise from the rear suspension. Just got it fixed under warrantly. It turns out the dealer replaced the both sides of the sway bar connecting rods and bushings. This seems to solve the problem.

Had on 05 G35x. The noise started about a year after i had it and they replaced the front sway bar bushings. I've lived with the noise for the period of the lease which was 3 years and turned it back in.

Now I leased an 08 G35x and after 30 days of ownership, the car wouldn't start and got towed to the dealer. Waiting to get it back.

mine started making noise around 70-80k miles, i have lived with it til now, i have 135k miles.

i think im going to go to the dealer and have them replace the bushings, hopefully that'll help and will be cheaper than the $800 they quoted me to replace the compression rods

I have same problem (05 G35 Coupe) please anyone. I want to know how you replaced the compression rod. I will be changing them soon.
Do I need to remove the cross arm underneath the compression rod (where the rod is mounted), how do I take it out.

Pictures will be very helpful.

Thank You

Your factory warranty is gone so you'll just have to call and ask if this is covered under your extended. Make sure you have the TSB printed off to give to them.

I'm going to see what can be done about mine. I'm at nearly 50k now and they have being creaking since about 30k miles. I think I have the compression rod issue as well as the shock mount issue since mine creaks as well as rattles. Annoying, but I'll see how much they want for repairs. Luckily I have an independent Nissan specialist near my house.

Go to www.infinitihelp.com. It has all the TSB's for our car under the 'knowledgebase' button towards the top of the page.
