Anyone installed the Greddy exhaust on their G35? How is it?

I'd be careful if you're considering GReddy exhaust...I haven't sourced them for a personal vehicle in years...They aren't the best as far as quality, and their designs tend to rob themselves of the power should deliver...Maybe this has changed, but they never worked well for me years ago...

just wait for stillen, injen or borla to develope a true catback exhaust system for the sedan because the greddy exhaust is not a catback exhaust for it only replaces the midpipe to the muffler. the gains won't be as high as the stillen, injen or the borla.

Heard and then saw a G35 Sedan with this exhaust system on it. Didn't care for the sound. Hated the single 3# coffee can exhaust tip. And to top it off, it didn't dyno well.

I'll pass, thank you.

I guess I'll wait for stillen or ingen then... Evo is the most affordable one, that's why I want to know how is it. but looks like its worthless.

Why is everyone not talking about getting a Nismo exhaust for their sedan?

Re: Anyone had Greddy Evo exhaust on their G35?

I have the Greddy Evo on my G35S and I would say the sound is not as loud as I thought. It's actually pretty quiet. As for performance, if no one here has it and there are no dyno stats available, I don't understand how people could say there is no power gain. I do have to admit it does look like crap with the single 3" can. However, I don't have to deal with the midpipe resonator like others are doing with their stock or stillen/blitz rear sections and I know the muffler is a straight thru design. If I had to pay full price for the muffler, I wouldn't do it again, but I got it real cheap and this has got to be better than stock.

I'm not saying that you aren't gaining HP and TQ, but GReddy's designs never realize their full potential...You're most definitely getting gains, it's just that you could be getting better performance from different equipment...They don't dyno as well as other systems, but if you're happy with your purchase nothing else really matters- that's what counts, right?

I agree that there might be better exhausts. I have the same exhaust and it sounds great.

I got it used from a board member. I definitely noticed gains and didn't want to spend $1000's on an exhaust which is a complete waste of money. I don't care to dyno the car just from an exhaust. I can tell the hp and torque gains are there. I could really care less anyhow since I have Nitrous.

As long as you're happy...I've never accepted as NOS as a substitute for fine engineering and modding, but I have no problem with squeezing...

Like you said, you like it and you don't care what the opinions of others are...That's what tuning boils down to...
